We booked this hotel believing it was luxury and were prepared to pay double the price of our last hotel - The Carsa Barca in Malcesine which was boutique luxury! Loved the brand-new contemporary suites adjacent to the hotel. We had 2 bedrooms with lounge/diner/kitchenette in between. Loved the modern wood/glass/steel/neutral decor with floor to ceiling sliding doors opening onto a large balcony. Quality and comfort were excellent and ideal for our family of 4. Let me start with saying Riva Del Garda is beautiful village on Lake Garda, overlooking Alps. This hotel is located right on the lake, with a wonderful private garden. It is lush and green, with a large fish pond and pool area. A fantastic hotel, great staff who were extremely helpful. Able to take full advantage of sports facilities - tennis and swimming. Great outdoor bar, great to sit in for lunch by the pool. Walk along the water from the hotels private access was great. more
