After staying in small hotels throughout several European cities, it was wonderful to stay in this tranquil agriturismo in the Tuscany countryside. We had a large room in an outbuilding, along with a large bathroom (what a treat!), and air-conditioning but were unable to get wifi out there. The pool provided a relaxing break after a hot day in Florence.... More

We had decided on Villa Il Crocicchio for our wedding in Tuscany after several e-mails with Sonia, the proprietor. She listened intently and really heard everything we wanted to make the wedding perfect for us. We arrived and settled in to the beautiful expansive space and Sonia had time to walk the grounds with us to help us decide on... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and we enjoyed every aspect of it. After a long day of sightseeing in Florence it was nice to take a swim in their pool and then enjoy a nice Italian dinner. We stayed out in one of units in the disconnected buildings and we had two twins and a nice loft... More

we happened upon this place by chance, and although a large bus group was there for dinner the four of us were treated like royalty. venue is authentic tuscan, with expansive grounds and large dining rooms; ours was intimate with a fire place and could not have been a nicer setting. our hostess was beyond gracious, and the five course... Il Crocicchio was a highlight on our Rich Steves 14-day tour. We stayed here in Reggello (about 40 minutes from Florence) instead of in town and we thoroughly enjoyed the rural Tuscany experience. Buildings are located off street down a narrow one lane dirt road - as such it was very quiet and peaceful. It was great to stay so... More

This was such an enjoyable stay for us as we ended a long day of riding... The family owned Inn, parts of which go back at least 200 years... Fabulous food in their restaurant.. large comfortable rooms... can't wait to get back again next year.

The property is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and is, in fact, a working vineyard. This is a small, quaint property and gives guests the feel of Tuscany. Sonia Sottani, the owner, made our visit special. We were in Italy celebrating our 40th anniversary and Sonia helped us find a hot balloon vendor. When our first flight was canceled,... More

We were with a tour group and this was by far the best hotel of a 2-week trip to several countries and several different hotels! The main building is a charming historic restored Tuscan villa in a rural setting among vineyards and olive trees. The property also has several smaller buildings with modern suite-type accommodations. Our room had a large... More

This was our home for two nights and it was beautiful and charming rural setting outside Florence (about 1 hour drive). Room was big and clean with kitchen. Bath was great except miniature shower (no tub in our room) was ridiculously small and very difficult to use without getting water all over bathroom. Staff was super and meals were great.... More

We were fortunate to have stayed at Villa il Crocicchio!!!! The setting is unbelievably beautiful and the property absolutely charming. Restored from top to bottom, it does not disappoint. The villa, keeping with the theme of agriturismo, lies on land that grows it's own olives (and presses it's own oil) as well as it's own grapes for wine. As a... More
