We stayed here from three nights immediately following a stay at the San Pietro in Positano so perhaps our impression of this hotel many be colored by the comparison. Having said that, our rates were within Euro 50 and both hotels are both 4 star so I feel they should be comparable but in fact there is no real comparison... More

One of the most iconic views in Italy from this hotel our third visit , very friendly staff and good food if on half board option there are rooms with a sea view but a garden room over looks the side street going up to Villa Chimbrone and another church , there are usually a lot of weddings with minstrals... The best word that comes to mind when I think of Hotel Rufolo is...fine. Not a great word for 350E/night. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. The town of Ravello is beautiful and the people, for the most part, are friendly. The hotel staff was just very cold. They spoke... More

What an incredible setting. We stayed at the Rufolo with 2 small babies, the hotel staff were excellent, did their very best to make sure all our needs were looked after. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious, well laid out, although not necessarily luxurious in terms of the finishes. We ate at the restaurant one of the... More

This is a charming hotel with gorgeous view from our room. Great service & dinner (up stair). It took us only 2 minutes walk to the villa Rufolo & seeing a fantastic view of garden & the ocean. Walking a little up hill (about 10 minutes) but worth it to see the villa Cimbrone; this is an amazing one!!! Don't... More

Spent three sublime days and nights in Ravello and cannot say enough about the wonderful Hotel Rufolo. Our room was so clean it gleamed, and was kept like that throughout our stay. The room was huge, elegantly decorated and filled with light, a welcome contrast to the little cave we had in Rome, and the Mediterranean glistening just beyond our... More

The hotel is incedibly well situated in the heart of beautiful Ravello. Free parking. Cold reception, singularly lacking charm. Bedroom cramped and very old fashioned. Nasty furniture, supposedly "garden view" was onto a street! The garden was accross the streeet but there was a high wall. All ground floor including breakfast room lighter and generally more up market but on... More

We would recommend Hotel Rufolo & Ravello as the best place we stayed at in Italy. The service, staff & location are fabulous. Can't wait to go back & will stay longer. More

We discovered this hotel when visiting Ravello and ensured somehow that we would somehow escape from the Onde Verde in Praiano (appalling food and service)and stay here for 2 nights. It was a joy to find staff so helpful and food so delicious. Our room (404) had a part sea view and part garden and was very quiet. It was... More

We stayed in the Rufolo for three nights this month, ostensibly to attend the wedding of friends (also held at the Rufolo). I would definitely return to stay here - the staff were first class, and although it was not cheap the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The room we stayed in was not what you would call luxurious,... More
