We had chosen Ravello as its a haven from its busier Amalfi coast cousins so Villa Cimbrone was a natural pick given the beauty of the gardens and the tranquility conveyed by its pictures. The location and grounds are beautiful, especially the gardens, which have bursts of all colors, smells and is quiet despite the tourists. The views are also... More

Ravello is a small, beautiful, old town perched high on a cliff top, the Hotel Cimbrone is right on the end of the cliff and is simply out of this world. We stayed here for 3 mights in May and as you start to near on foot you not only begin to get a sense of the dramatic location, but... More

Walking through the charming town of Ravello, you feel as if you are in a fairy tale...We arrived on a warm night in May with a full moon shining for our romantic walk from town to the hotel. The natural beauty of the environment is unmatched amongst manicured gardens and the accommodations are kept up to 5 star quality even... More

This is a very historic hotel with unrivalled views of both the coast & inland. Each room is unique & the owners have tried to keep the historical theme whilst providing modern facilities. The steps up from the centre could be a challenge for the less mobile but we were glad of them to wear off the pasta we had... More

Without compromise, this is the most stunning setting i have ever beheld, the colours of the 15-acre garden, boasting hundreds of varieties of flowers and plants, distil all the higher and base senses. Unbelievably fragrant and luscious , the park is embellished with works of art, temples gazebos, and marble & bronze statues, guarantee a serene yet dazzling stroll. I... More

We enjoyed a leisurely, beautifully served luncheon with a spectacular view, followed by a casual stroll through the gardens and a visit to the "Infinity Gallery." A luncheon visit is a way to enjoy the Michelin star kitchen and menu without quite the Michelin star price. Our meal was completed by the waitress suggesting, "would you like some 'lemon cake'?"... Beautiful setting, superb service, shame about the food! This restaurant has one Michelin star with prices to match. It certainly does NOT deserve a Michelin star at all, given the way that food was presented. I had a piece of steak, which was, in itself, very pleasant; however, distributed all round the plate were a wide variety of coloured vegetables... More

There is little you can add to what a picture of Villa Cimbrone tells you about the place. It is an absolute stunning place, with the most amazing view in the world and the garden is an absolute dream. Perhaps one can add to that the the hotel is incredibly elegant and well-managed, that it has an amazing pool area,... More

If you are looking for a hotel in the Amalfi Coast, look no further than this amazing place. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and wished we would have stayed more. Each day we woke up with a smile on our face. The views from our room and balcony were nothing short of amazing. The room was extremely... More

We stayed for three nights with our four year old daughter. The hotel was lovely and the staff friendly and very attentive. We had a double room with sea view and an additional bed and despite this the room was not cramped. The breakfast buffet was good with a wide variety. There were two minor niggles. The swimming pool is... More
