It just didnt work for me. Hotel full of antique furniture and paintings but there were no people. I didnt see another guest, not even at breakfast which was served in the lounge by the lobby, on a very small coffee table, not in the restaurant. The bedroom was tastefully decorated but there were ants in the bathroom and some... More

Superb charming hotel that has been lovingly maintained retaining a lot of its original features. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and seemed to have an almost encylopaedic knowledge of the history of the hotel and town. Our room was spacious with amazing views of the amalfi coast. The town was beautiful with a quaint little piazza where everyone... More

I Loved Hotel Ravello. From the sumptuous lobby to the quaint and comfortable rooms that look out over the Mediterranean you could not go wrong picking this place. Everything is within easy walking distance to the Town of Ravello, the music/concert center and bus stop (which takes you anywhere on the coast you want to go)! Don't miss the priceless... More

Two nights at the Palumbo was not enough. We loved this hotel. The desk staff was informative and friendly. If you can, stay in the "Romantica" room on the ground floor. Unforgetable. Great view of the Bay of Amalfi and hills in the distance.

We had our wedding at Palumbo last summer and it was GORGEOUS. The staff was very professional and the reception was terribly fun and beautiful. I had a wedding planner for the ceremony and flowers, but Palumbo took care of organizing every other detail...flawlessly. The hotel is lovely and feels like you are staying in a private villa (which it... More

Perfect romantic hotel with class and atmosphere. Original antiques everywhere, Far better than the nearby Caruso and Palazzo Sasso. Real Gem.

We stayed at the Palumbo for four nights and were also a bit disappointed to be put into the annex. But we didn't let it ruin our trip. I'm not even sure the accommodations would've been any better in the main unit. They were clean and ample. We used the hotel as a home base for trips up and down... More

We went to Ravello to escape the bustle of the Amalfi coast for my husband's 60th birthday - and stumbled on the Palumbo. What a treat! The staff were so courteous and accomodating and the food was fabulous - by far the best that we had anywhere else on the Amalfi coast. Lunch on the terrace overlooking the bay is... More

On the strength of other reviews, we booked the Palumbo as a treat to finish our week on the wonderful Amalfi coast. It was ghastly. The hotel clearly wasn't ready, English-speaking staff had to be rustled up, painters were moving ladders, ashtrays full of cigarette ends, washing hanging outside, they hadn't bothered to unnet the lemon trees (everyone else had).... 1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2007

We have just finished spending 4 nights at the hotel in November 2007. Genteel decay is one thing , actually allowing a hotel to go completely to seed is another. Facilities are decrepit , room rates are exorbitant for what you get. The almost entirely Sri Lankan (!!!) staff speaks no English .Most of the furniture is falling apart, water... More
