If you are visiting Ragusa and the area around it , this is the hotel to stay in. It is only 5 minutes walk ( uphill) to the Duomo and the Michelin-starred Il Duomo restaurant close to it . With the sun down and tourists gone , the old town is very atmospheric and the walk to the restaurant and... More

Hotel il Barocco is an excellent small hotel with a extremely varied & superb breakfast and wonderful staff. The rooms are nicely done, the bathrooms immaculate, and the location in Ragusa Ibla perfect. We stayed three days and would gladly have stayed longer. I highly recommend this hotel. Farm.

Hotel Il Borocco is a nice, family owned hotel located in the heart of the city. It was one of our favorite hotels that we stayed in during our 3 week trip around Sicily. The staff makes you feel welcomed from the very instant you arrive and go out of their way to be helpful, despite the language barrier. Breakfasts... More

These folks are terrific. The hotel was clean, and close to everything. The staff professional. My memory will be they did not mind my poor italian, and they went out of their way to help my daughter find a local flight to France after her scheduled flight had been cancelled due to a strike. Again, this hotel was found from... More

I spent a week at Il Barocco not just to enjoy the wonderful sights of Ragusa Ibla and south east Sicily but to relax, and this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. It's clean, comfortable and convenient with wonderful customer service and is very good value for money. The breakfast selection is amazing and even though being coeliac I couldn't sample... More

This is a lovely family-run hotel in one of the nicest cities in Sicily. It’s located on a quiet street, where street parking was available for our rental car. (You need a good GPS to find the hotel, as Ragusa Ibla has very narrow, winding streets.) The entrance is through a nicely landscaped courtyard, where guests can sit and enjoy... More

We have had a nice stay here. Only the air-conditioning in our room, number 114, didn't work. Fortunately they gave us an other room with a working air-conditioning. Breakfast was great, with choices of pastries, fresh fruits and cereals. Location is ideal for a walk around town.

My views are probably influenced by being upgraded to a suite! Although difficult to find & drive to through the myriad of one way & very narrow streets, once there this is a lovely hotel in a very quiet & central location. The young staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. My room & en suite was very spacious &... More

If you’re planning to see the Baroque jewels of Ragusa then this is a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Most of what you want to see is in Ibla and although you may make the climb to Ragusa itself it seems to make sense to base yourself in Ibla itself. Sadly we didn’t ever find the Tourist... More

We stayed here for 3 days in april and had a great time. The rooms are not lavish but perfectly clean and comfortable. There were nice touches such as new toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom . The wifi was a bit unreliable but that was much more of a problem for the hotel and staff than it was for... More
