So clean, quiet and the young staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. They were very keen to improve their English and suggest places to visit. Well placed between Ragusa and the coast and plenty of interesting places to visit with the bonus of Montalbano filming sites to discover. Lovely gardens with lots of "special places' set out... All of the above comments are accurate. Artemisia is a warm friendly oasis outside of Ragusa. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and eager to assist with any request. I came with my 78 yr old father and we had two very large ground floor rooms that provided a warm cosy attmosphere when the weather turned cold. The heated tiled... More

We spent 5 nights in March at Artemisia and I only can say good words about this place. We had tasty Sicilian oranges for welcoming which was very kind. We enjoyed a nicely decorated, clean and spacious double room with comfortable bed. The only remark I would make is about the dampness that has already permeated the walls and for... More

We are on a two-weeks trip around Sicily, booked a room for one night at this hotel. When we arrived, we were a bit disappointed because it was further away from the old town of Ragusa than we thought. But that was soon forgotten when we met the lovely lady in the reception, who welcommed us with open arms and... More

We are travelling in the winter, so we are often the only guests at a hotel. That being said, Artemisia was very nice. Fernando met us in the parking lot, carried our bags to a clean, very spacious room. I was out of Jack Daniels ( an emergency situation) and asked him where I could buy some. No problem, He... More

We stayed four nights at Artemisia with my mother who is 70 and coeliac. We had rooms 8 and 9 which have a separate entrance, so we were on our own and near each other. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped. The resort is run by 5 cousins who spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful with recommendations for good... More

The place is far away (9 kms) from Ragusa, so we first went to Ragusa, luckily saw a sign at the entrance of the city mentionning they were 8.7kms away. The place is not so easy to sign, although once you saw the first sign, you are directed OK. The place is an old farm, with good amenities : the... More

The problem here (as others have pointed out) is the lack of a restaurant. Where to eat in the evening? Actually, no problem. Go back to the entry road and follow the signs to Domus Aurea, a resort up the next road. A bit too far to walk, especially at night, but an easy drive. We had great, inexpensive meals... More

Beautifully renovated farmhouse, lots of space. The only drawback is you cannot get lunch here however Ragusa is close by car. (7 mins approx). Staff were extremely nice and very accommodating.
