This is a beautiful building, lovingly and sympathetically made into a comfortable and modern hotel. I have to particularly commend the staff, and Sofia (?) the head housekeeper, for running such a smooth operation - nothing seems to be too much trouble, and all with a smile. I see that others have made negative comments because there is a serious... More

I cannot even work out where to start with my praise of this hotel! What an incredibly lucky find! The hotel is absolutely a work of art - cathedral like inside and beautifully appointed! This is 5 star luxury without the price tag. Of all the hotels I've stayed in in my life, this really rates in the top 5... More

Where can I start - this Hotel is an absolute gem!!! We were immediately greeted by the lovely hotel staff - who seemed to ignore the fact that we were being quite boisterous - there were six of us travelling together - we had just arrived so were all excited like little kids (besides two of our group count as... From the street it's hard to believe that this nice of a hotel exists. Quiet small typical Sicilian street. When I arrived the streets were empty (8:00). Room had very high cathedral ceilings that looked very old. Bathroom was very modern and the staff nice enough. Only downside was they were still under remodel (expansion) and the jack hammering started... More

We have no hesitation in recommending this fine boutique hotel in Ragusa. From the minute we walked into De Stefano Palace we were greeted with a smile and genuine service. The hotel is in an excellent location in a very safe and convenient area with a parking spot outside front to drop luggage off. It is a short walk to... More

The De Stefano is wonderful place to stay in ... Its decor is unique and personal and the service is top star. Beautiful, quiet, chic and sophisticated. Highly recommended. Service is with a smile and very obliging. Rooms are clean and elegant. Location is central to the magical Ibla. Very boutique, not mass at all. Well done to its management.

Very nice hotel in an old building in Ragusa superiore. Parking is in the streets around the hotel and can be a bit tricky. The steps down to Ragusa Ibla are nearby. Takes around 15-20 minutes to walk down to the Piazza Duomo in Ragusa Ibla. The Bus stop for the bus up from Ragusa Ibla is nearby. There are... More

Arrived in Ragusa by bus luckily there was one taxi waiting as it would have been a very long walk to the hotel and difficult to find for the first time. Large room on the first floor with free minibar and breakfast included in the price. Staff on arrival was very helpful providing us with a map and suggestions of... More

This is a small hotel with large rooms situated at the very edge of Ragusa superiore in an old palazzolo. A dozen metres away will take you to the flight of steps which lead to Ragusa Ibla. The service and sleep quality in this hotel are excellent, and the staff always matched our expectations. The huge rooms are minimalistically but... More
