Lovely staff and amazing place to stay, for short or even longer holiday. I am in love.. Ragusa Ibla is "must see". We have two small children but we never needed a car. Location is great. And parking in Ragusa is horror but this hotel has parking places for guests.

Hotel was very nice and the people were great. It was our first trip to Sicily and we went on line to select hotels. The reviews we read turned out to be accurate. We were also impressed with the location and pricing.

elegant and charming relais with very friendly and attentive staff and beautiful decor. The breafast was both delicious and multi varied all served in baroque elegance. Complimenti…will recommend to everyone visiting Ragusa.

The hotel is tucked away in the remains of a long ago palazzo in upper Ragusa, directly across the street from the St Giovanni cathedral and walking distance to several good restaurants. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Breakfast spread was a daily discovery of local pastries. A special note regarding the superior service we received. I arrived sick... More

Ragusa is an interesting place - Ibla is the old bit with many historic buildings:the newer town where the hotel is, also has interesting buildings, but is perhaps more city centre than historic site. The hotel is located in an old palazzo, or maybe two - I couldn't quite work all the stairs out, although there is a lift. We... More

If you want to visit the eastern part of Sicily, Ragusa is the best city to stay, and Antica Badia is a good choice. The rooms are small but well equipped, nice bathrooms with all the comfort you need. The windows are pretty small but this was the style back then. The breakfast is good, with a good varieties of... Great location, private parking, interesting public areas. Good breakfast. Rooms small but clean and warm. Wifi available. Interesting walk via steps to the other part of Ragusa. Only small difficulty was finding places to eat in the surrounding area as no restaurant at the hotel, but we did find them

If you are touring southern Sicily (from Taormina, Siracusa, etc), this is the best hotel to base your stay. A charming hotel in an old Palazzo with all new amenities and good spa facilities. The hotel put us in contact with Chiara of the local tourist bureau and we had interesting tours lined up for our whole week in Sicily.... More

Although we would place the rooms (our travel group rented three) at the 4-star level, the remainder of this hotel is definitely 5. It's a beautiful palace that was once home to the original "mayor" of Ragusa. Service was excellent from start to finish. In Ragusa, this is THE place to stay -- and Ragusa is a charming city, very... More

This is not a conventional hotel. The rooms are quite different - our friends travelling with us had a relatively conventional room with high ceiling but ours was womb like in a barrel vaulted room. It was however a very quiet and comfortable room with an exotic if small shower that had several different shower heads to spray from all... More
