Pula was the last night of an 11 day bike ride... so I was tired and very happy to be alive. I arrived at the hotel and the music was blaring... progressive jazz (which I hate) and there were a few people sitting around (owner?) clearly more into the jazz than their guests happiness. Imagine my horror when I got... More

Dear Madame, we are really sorry for what happened. We would like to mean that our music is fit for the hotel location, but you should come to our reception so we could knew your problem and we could changed our playlist or we could put off the music from the speakers on the upper floor. Thank you anyway. Best... More

A charming boutique hotel in the centre of a pretty town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are great. Comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. Ate out so can't comment on food quality. Breakfast very average. Loved it and would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel , very helpful friendly staff - particularly 'Nic' who provided a lot of information about the local area etc. comfortable rooms Only down side was poor breakfast each morning - old, tired fruit and stale pastries.

Rooms are around an internal courtyard, but they face outwards. We had room 4 and we were happy with it. Nice bathroom . Plenty of hot water good towels etc The shutters and double glazing worked well against outside noises. The staff in this Hotel are very helpful and obliging. They went out of their way to help us out... More

Rooms are around an internal courtyard, but they face outwards. The shutters and double glazing worked well against outside noises. Drawback in our room (7), was that light from the bathroom window made its way into the bedroom via the glazed door, and we were unable to black it out. Otherwise it was very good. Interesting pictures and ornaments, and... More

We stayed here for one night at e end of a week long cycling trip. We loved it. It's a funky, classy, boutique hotel with heaps of character. Centrally located not too far from the main restaurant area. Rooms a good size and each one uniquely furnished. Bathroom large as was the shower. Free wifi, worked in the room as... More

Villa Madau was the end of our 412 Km cycle holiday in Sardinia. After seeing the wonderful scenery of Sardinia with its mountains, beaches, cliffs and wild countryside Villa Madau and Pula was a bit of an anticlimax to start with. After we settled into our room which was very comfortable and had everything we needed, we strolled down to... More

We have just returned from a 4 night stay. Whilst the hotel enjoys a central location the down side is that is very noisey (both day and night) people, dogs, deliveries, music, church bells (on the hour). This makes it difficult to get a good nights rest which was disappointing for me. The design is quirky and the room was... More

We stayed at Villa Madau for 4 nights at the end of April. The weather was poor, so the roof terrace was closed, but they let us access it and it must be great on warmer evenings. The breakfast was a surprise, as in Italy it tends to be quite basic (continental: cereals, croissants and jam, tea or coffee), but... More

Villa Madau is located in the village of Pula, about half an hour’s drive up the coast from Cagliari. The TomTom thought the hotel was blocks away from where it actually was, leading to an hour of circling one-way streets to find it so it’s best to print a map. Street parking along the river, a block away from the... More
