Average hotel sensational views Tramonto d'oro is an average hotel dressed up with 4 stars. This is not a 4 star hotel. On arrival we asked about dinner. It was 10.30pm on a Saturday night. The hotel stops serving food at 9.30pm. They also don't do room service. Pretty poor on both counts. We ended up eating in a pizzeria... More

Hard to imagine that this is not the highest rated hotel in this small town. Our upper floor rooms (HIGHLY recommended - need that sea view and balcony) were spacious and comfortable, and the views out the balcony toward Positano priceless. Kids complained mattress too hard, but as a stomach sleeper, I prefer it that way - may be too... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, found all the people lovely, however no one has mentioned the bells that start peeling (from the church next door) every morning from 7.30am. Sometime every 15 mins. This was a bit much every morning and I feel people should be aware no alarm clock needed. If you are an early riser then this... More

The Hotel was clean, the room was spacious the views breathtaking. We would definately come back. The owner of the Hotel an elderly woman was so sweet. We sat and chatted for awhile she was wonderful with my children, gave them fruit and a gift. My only issue was one day at the pool many kids were jumping into the... More

We have just come home after our 10 day stay at this wonderful hotel. We are a family of 4 with our children aged 24 and 22. The hotel as everybody has said is run by a family who greet you as though you are entering their home. This is one thing that sets this hotel apart from the rest... More

We arrived very late thanks to a delayed flight and a long queue to report our luggage as missing but nonetheless the owner, Carmela, was at the desk to greet us warmly. Our request for twin beds hadn't been picked up (a problem with Expedia rather than the hotel, I think) but we were moved the following morning with no... More

Bedrooms are furnished in traditional style and you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff were so welcoming and helpful. The roof top pool is large with ample sun loungers and a really nice area to chill out. Breakfast is amazing with the most gorgeous freshly made cakes including the fabulous lemon cake. The hotel restaurant has the... More

A beautiful, family-run hotel in a great location, just a bus ride away from busy Positano. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, giving us very detailed instructions on how to commute back to Rome to catch our flights home. The free breakfast with ocean views on this balcony were breathtaking. The restaurant is also great and always seemed very busy.... More

This is just a wonderful find in a smaller-than-usual and less touristy Amalfi coast city, Praiano. We went for the pool - other hotels seemed good, but this was a nice blend of a great pool and the hike (up and down the hill) to the closest beach. Our room was very comfortable, with a nice firm mattress, plenty of... More

This is a lovely hotel in the quieter area of Praiano. The views are stunning and our room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and the food was amazing. Breakfast was also plentiful with many sweet options. We parked our hire car at the hotel but as space is a premium we... More
