Our first stopover stay for 2 nights on our Amalfi coast trip. Situated high on the main road into Positano, we parked opposite the hotel and reception arranged for the car to be parked. We had booked a standard room, which was opposite the reception area. I was concerned about noise as I am a light sleeper but they didn't... More

Loved this hotel the views from the balcony are just unbelievable, a reasonably sized room with everything you need, good continental breakfast, great coffee, beautiful bar balcony, right next to superb restaurants it is either a short walk down the hill or it you want to work off the calories around 300 steps down to the beach either way 5... We came to Positano for our 26th Anniversary. We never visited the Amalfi coast before. We hesitated between Amalfi and Positano, but many friends told us to go to Positano, as it was more quaint and more romantic. And indeed it was! And Palazzo Talamo largely contributed to this feeling! Our room was beautifully decorated with local ceramics and bright... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days at the end of a 5 week holiday in Europe and it was just as we expected...except the views were better...! It is a small well run hotel perched on the edge of the hill and as such is multi level, with the breakfast dining room on the lower level. Our... More

In one word "Terrific"! All that we hoped for. It is a great location, the staff was pleasant and courteous, (family run so they want you to be pleased), And the view - Just FANTASTIC!!! We enjoyed the restaurant next to the hotel for a pizza lunch with a spectacular view. Lucky us we got to see fireworks to nights... More

There isn't a more perfect place in the world. Come here and stay at Palazzo Talamo. It's not a 5 star resort you would expect in America, it's quaint and better and just so Italian. Every single room has a view, there is only 2-3 rooms on each floor, and they all face the ocean. The staff is phenomenally attentive... More

We arrived, amid much confusion and angst with the narrow roads and couldn't find the hotel. The lovely receptionist advised that she would tell the car park man to look out for us. After that, everything went smoothly. We and our bags were directed to the hotel and the car was whisked away to be safely parked. Check in was... More

What a gem! The views from the balcony were fantastic, and we loved watching the ferries to and from Capri just below. The hotel is about halfway down the main road into Positano, great as the taxi can stop right outside. The rooms are away from the road so there was no road noise. The service we received was fantastic,... More

The room was nice & clean, not very fancy but its decent size and has great views. You can not beat the wonderful views from each of the bedrooms at Talamo. The bed was not so comfortable but we only stayed 1 night so it was fine..The location is great and close to town central and relatively close to the... More

The views from the rooms are great and the location is decent. Beyond that, there isn't much to celebrate. The staff are very hit or miss...more of a miss actually. Some of them were actually quite cold. The rooms are small and grungy. Bathrooms are sufficient. I wouldn't stay here again.
