If you really want to stay at the beach in Positano, get ready to work for it. Our taxi driver drove by the entrance to Hotel Pupetto twice before we realized you need to get out on a walkway to get to the hotel. I had read online that it's dificult to find so I was somewhat prepared, but we... more

I stayed at Hotel Pupetto for three nights, choosing it on the basis of the solid reviews here and its low price (one of the lowest priced hotels in Positano). My room was very basic, but fine for my tastes. The bed was very comfortable. The small balcony with a view of the sea was wonderful. Falling asleep and waking... more

This was a perfect Italian experience, simple, clean, great food. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the restaurant was great. The hotel was right on the beach and you could hear the water every night. It was very relaxing and not at all pretentious. It wasn't fancy, but that was a welcome experience. It felt like staying with family.... more

Posiitano is an exceptionally beautiful location but be aware that it is steps, steps, steps. If you are going there to use the beach and swim in the beautiful bay on a daily basis The Pupetto is the hotel for you. Right on the beach, you can hear the lap of the waves from your balcony, it is clean, friendly,... more

We booked Hotel Pupetto on the advice of a friend that had previously stayed there and were not disappointed. Our room was sparse and basic(no telephone) incredibly clean and spacious enough to easily cater for the 4 of us. The private terrace overlooking the beach was fabulous. We put the kids to bed every evening and sat out on the... more

I stayed here with my 2 very trendy daughters - a challenge for mum to do the right thing. We stayed for 3 nights in the height of summer. All in all we thought it was the best choice for value, location and beach access ( rare in this part of the coast). There were just 2 negatives - the... more

My wife and I are currently traveling in Europe and have seen many cities in several countries. Positano was a last minute decision as a place to stay over on our way from Rome to Capri. A few of our friends had mentioned Positano, so we thought we would check it out. This was likely the best decision of our... more

Had the misfortune to stay only two nights. This was an excellent location, on the beach! Clean accommodations. Friendly staff. Very nice breakfast buffet. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Positano, but only 5 minutes away. There were four of us, and we had a lovely room right on the waterfront. Price was affordable. Would stay... more

Reviewer: New Zealand Wow - the setting and views from our hotel room were breathtaking! We booked a superior room for 4 nights with unimpeded sea views and our own private balcony. Even the standard rooms have unimpeded sea views. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The only little issue we had was the shower - there was no... more

I need to start by saying that my husband and I are NOT AT ALL picky travellers. We stayed in 3 star hotels all across Italy for 3 weeks and this was not only the most expensive hotel we stayed in, but also the WORST! The staff was helpful and friendly, and the only saving grace was that they allowed... more
