Positano is very crowded but the Puppetto is down the beach away from the crowds. It has its own beach. Probably the nicest beach along the Amalfi Coast. Some of the rooms that our group had had lovely views of the ocean. One didn't. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast area was lovely, unfortunately, there was a storm... More

Great large rooms all with balconies overlooking the sea. Very clean. Efficient reception. Beautiful terrace area for breakfast, dinner, cocktails. Only drawback is that it is quite a walk from the main beach at the bottom of the road down the main pathway or from the pier where the ferries land. Schlepping luggage is a chore and it is also... The Hotel Pupetto has its own beach on the far western end of Positano. This is its chief attribute. Otherwise, it was fine, clean, good service. Our room was small, supposedly an upgrade to a sea-view, but when our room wasn't ready, we were offered on which was, which was 4-6 feet smaller. Sunrise over the Mediterranean was the same... More

Pros: on the rocky beach, lovely views, good restaurant, access to beautiful walk along the coast to the main beach, privately family owned (Gabriela lovely), clean, housekeeping staff excellent, interesting to get to (350) steps down. good exercise, quite location fairly priced. Cons: Hotel is dated, very small shower with shower curtain clinging to you as you shower, not good for... More

Our stay at Hotel Pupetto was wonderful. It's an ideal place to stay if you want easy access to the beach. The hotel itself is on the water with the main town being no more than a 5 minute scenic walk away. The rooms are simple. They have everything you need. My advice would be to book a room with... I love Amalfi towns like Positano but hate feeling too close to the 24-7 mass tourism machine so Pupetto was perfect. Sleepy hotel, nice staff, great little beach, awesome room from our bed/balcony. Absolutely loved the restaurant and cafe, staff were all very charming. I think if they made the rooms a little nicer and improved the breakfast offering to... More

While looking for a five day, "get away" vacation, my wife and I both agreed on Hotel Pupetto in Positano. Having visted Spaggia Fornillo (where the hotel is situated) six years ago, we knew the location was ideal. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the main beach and crowds of Positano and it was the best 5 days we... More

Spent 4 nights in pupetto, this hotel is excellent, great location, very relaxing and great restaurant. The rooms are basic but spotless with great views, more than adequate and very comfortable. The staff were great and we had the best meal of our stay in hotel restaurant, beautiful! Was very glad I chose this hotel rather than one on the... More

We stayed 5 nights in hotel Pupetto in August, after a friend recommended it. The location is perfect, right on top of the Fornillo beach in Positano, a lot better than the big beach. The hotel is not fancy, just very clean and good size rooms with a great terrace overlooking the beach. The staff was extremely friendly, they helped... More
