Lovely hotel, friendly staff, rooms cleaned well (9am most mornings), breakfast was of fresh produce - plenty of continental items & loads of sweet pastries, eve meals at hotel were on the economic size ( yep I'm a big eater), but you do get the full view of beach & boats & yachts, very calming at the end of a... Recently stayed at the Hotel Pupetto and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was friendly and the onsite restaurant was amazing. By far one of the best meals we had during our travels. The hotel is located 250 steps down from the main road to the beach. They have a porter who graciously carried our luggage to the resort.... More

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, really good food, perfect location! The Fornillo beach is by far the best of the two beaches in Positano. This side of Positano is in every way more laid back and relaxed than the main part of Positano. The access to the other side via a short path along the coast is a nice walk, and... More

The location is great and the walk (10 minutes) to the centre is very scenic. Staff were lovely, however we are reluctant to recommend this hotel due to the extremely uncomfortable beds. They (2 singles pushed together) were incredibly firm which made it very difficult to sleep. We are a young & adaptable couple yet both of us had great... More

Location of the hotel might be the problem for some people. But in my opinion, it is optimal. I'll try to focus an attention on this aspect. I've read complaints in other reviews about inaccessibility this place for auto travelers. That's quite right indeed - the hotel connects the road with more than 200 steps up. Main road with the... Came to Positano with my children and wife to soak up the Amalfi coast. This hotel is a gem. We were upgraded to a ocean-front room, which incredible views. The staff are wonderful. The restaurant was great. And topping it off - the beach bar was perfect for snacks and drinks. For my countrymen used to driving up to a... More

We called for lunch after walking up from the harbour to the road and back down again. It was fantastic: lovely room on a verandah overlooking the beach in a beautiful setting. It was expensive, but worth it: we definitely felt we got what we paid for. The staff were friendly without being intrusive and (thankfully) pointed us on to... More

This time we came only for lunch. The friendly receptionist welcomed us on telephone, sent the hotel boat to pick us up in Positano centre, and had reserved a nice table for us under the loggia. Very tasty food was served us by polite and friendly waiters, and without unnecessary waiting time. When my little kid did not manage to... More

I was nervous going in, as I had booked 2 rooms for our family and read some mixed reviews. We absolutely LOVED this hotel. Very clean, amazing location... I think the best location in Positano... and just a wonderful place to stay with kids. We knew about the 350 step climb down, and that was a fun adventure. A few... More

The best things about this hotel are its location and its staff. Be warned that Positano is very hilly so if you arrive by bus from Sorrento or Amalfi you will need to need walk quite a way downhill to get to most places. For Hotel Pupetto I would suggest you arrive by ferry then walk around the path from... More
