Thanks to Maryse for her warm hospitality, care & attention. We enjoyed our stay at "La Dolce Vita"… a wonderful relaxing week thanks to spacious comfortable accommodation together with the added bonus of a beautiful "terassa" overlooking a panoramic sea view not excluding the soothing rhythm of waves gushing to the shore…absolute heaven! Here on the terrace we received a... More

We loved this place, the room was spotless, the bathroom was big and brand new with a view of the sea. The balcony was beautiful with the most gorgeous sea view. The perfect place to have breakfast in the mornings. We could hear the sound of the waves crashing on the beach as we lay in bed. It was great.... More

This was the most expensive hotel of our trip and also the most unprofessional service. We were originally supposed to be put in the main building (located very close to the beach) with access to WIFI. When we arrived, they put us in a room about 100 steps up from the main building with no access to Internet and ants... More

Trying to make sense of the discrepancies in the reviews before we came, I was perplexed. After my experience, I can make sense of it. The first night we were put in a bottom room, despite having clearly booked a top room with balcony. The first room was awful. It smelt of damp due to the building being old. When... More

Where to begin? Location in Fornillo is lovely and wonderful view without the docking of the ferry boats every 15 minutes at the main beach. Nice restaurants. One of the closest hotels to the beach and a little walk or free ferry to the main beach with shopping and more eating. The free ferry makes it extra charming. Ferdinando's Eggplant... More

Stayed here with my grown son in October for 4 nights in a twin room. View was magnificent from our room. Beds comfortable, room nicely appointed but not over done. Good bathroom, breakfast was good with a cappuccino each morning. Loved the fact that it is situated in Fornillo which is just around the point from the main beach. Hang... More

Pros: Clean rooms, lovely sea views Cons: Unbelievably bad access (though this is Positano not the hotels fault but DO YOUR RESEARCH! 300 steps to the beach sounds like nothing when you read it on your ipad from the comfort of your sofa) There are many better positioned hotels - Savoia, Pupetto etc Hosts are cold and abrupt. May have... More

We have only just returned to London and miss it already. Maryse, la dolce vita, our massive room, the stunning views, the ferdinando cafe and its people, fornillo beech and positano!! not so much the steps but that's positano and with 100 steps only from dolce vita that's nothing compare to most locations. It's not 5 star but that's not the... What a wonderful stay. Joining friends for a wedding in Postiano this late summer season on the beach in front of La Dolce Vita was beyond expectation. Maryse our host made us feel so wonderfully welcome. The sunrise and sunset views over the Amalfi coast bay bobbing boats with boats will forever be etched in my mind. 5* pillows and... More

Maryse gave us an absolutely beautiful room with balcony so we had the most amazing view of the beach and beautiful coastline. We had breakfast on the balcony of the breakfast room in the mornings (come of the best croissants we've ever had!) and it was all just lovely. She also helped us book a car back to Naples airport...
