I stayed here a couple summers ago and it was a nice stay. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean. Its not the nicest hotel in Positano but for the price it is very reasonable. The location isnt the best since it is near the top. to get to either of the beaches requires some walking but... More

The location is very nice. The room was light, quiet and clean with a wonderful balcony and seaview. Not to overpriced. The staff helpful. The breakfast a bit on the simple side with an unworthy cappucino. Even if I was accused for 'overconsumption' of 6 small glasses of juice (it was actually 4 juice and 1 water after climbing over... The owner family runs the hotel. They are rude and careless about any kind of customer happiness. Breakfast is terrible, every food they prepare is so bad, they put ruined apples that are wrinkled all over for breakfast with no shame and expect you to eat that! They charge for each little thing, they dont help you with the car... More

Found this hotel on booking.com but eventually booked with them directly after emailing them about a discount mentioned on their website. The hotel is a family-run hotel, so it appears they prefer to have direct bookings, offering a small discount for paying in cash. Made sure in email that the room comes with a view. Pros: - Amazing view of... More

the hotel was fine broadly. Of course it is far from the beach, you have to walk a lot. But the view is unquestionable. rather basic rooms, sheets and towels are very poor. The breakfast very regular, nothing special. basically the view is the key. Another issue is the attention. Apparently, the hotel is managed by a family. they were... More

We booked on line with booking.com through trip advisor. They tried to get us to cancel that booking and pay less...which seems dishonest to me,as. They wouldn't have our booking without booking.com and tripadvisor. Directions from hotel for a new visitor were inadequate. We found our way eventually. The manageress has an unfortunate abrupt style, she seemed annoyed by having... More

I was looking forward to visiting Positano and it is amazing, but unfortunately the hotel is tired and so are the family that run it. The rooms a run down and it has put a downer on our stay. The views are beautiful thou, I just hope the owners realise how fortunate they are to have these views and spend... More

We had an enjoyable stay. The view cannot be faulted. Room was nice, all tiled, big bed and good bathroom with hair dryer. We were on the first floor with balcony, table and chairs and relaxing beach chairs which we great for reading books in the sun. Definitely have to be active if you stay here as everything except the... More

We have just booked into this horrible little place and I'm squashed onto the bed with our suitcases around us, waiting for my travel agent to open in Australia so I can ring her to get us out of here!!! Where to start?? The room is minuscule and we have paid AUD1200 for the dubious privilege of staying here for... More

I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel Gabbiano. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. Nice thing about this hotel is that the front lobby is right at street level and almost all of the floors are accessible via an elevator unlike many other hotels in Positano which makes getting your luggage to your room much...
