What can I say about Bellevista that will convey my disappointment with this hotel? Let's start with the name: Bellevista: meaning 'good view'. We booked a room with a sea view. What we got was a room that should have panoramic views of Positano and onto Capri. Instead, the owners have a massive garden growing that obstructs one of the... More

Overall, we were pleased with our one night stay. Like the other reviewers stated, there are lots of steps, so pack light. Despite the stairs, I enjoyed the tucked away feeling of the hotel, down some stairs, narrow paths to the hotel. Upon check in, I couldn't find anyone at the front desk. There was a man on the terrace... More

Hotel Bella Vista is in a great location, from here it is very easy to travel to nearby Positano, Amalfi, sorrento or even Ravello by public bus. The views from the hotel are outstanding however the service and rooms leave a lot to be desired. We traveled as a fairly large group of 7 people and enjoyed dinner in the... More

The surreal view, "beach" access, and convenient boat ride were spectacular! A brilliant blue ocean and vegetation were the only things in sight from our room. Definitely pay for a room with a view because the hotel itself is nothing to look at, being outdated and not as clean or well-kept (flies and a somewhat dirty shower) as it should... More

Visiting this picturesque village was a wonderful surprise! My choice, Villa Bella Vista, sits perched high above the sea. Sitting on the terrace, Capri can be seen in the distance. Be lulled to sleep by the crashing waves below. Walk through the gardens as you make your way down, down, down to the sea. Be warmly greeted by the family... More

Beautiful family run hotel. Spotlessly clean. Food fantastic. A magnificent view. Breakfast with real hot coffee and hot milk. Lovely rolls, cereals, fresh meats & cheeses, fruit. The dinner meals were some of the best food we have eaten in Italy. A five course dinner for a very reasonable price. We had a superior double room. It was very spacious... More

We just completed a weeks stay at this charming hotel- granted there are 106 or 76 ( depending on the route you take) to the hotel and you must carry your own luggage ( pack lite and be in good shape) but the view and location is worth it.. Yes there is noise overhead if staying underneath the breakfast room... More

At the end of June this year I stayed for the fourth time at Praiano in the Hotel Villa Bellavista with the family Rispoli. I travel alone and whenever I arrive there I am given a very warm welcome. They are extremely kind and affectionate in every respect and make my holiday as pleasant as possible. Also last time I... More

We booked the Bellavista for 7 nights in early May for what was meant to be a relaxing, restful, romantic end to our 5 week European holiday! Instead, what we got - on arrival after travelling from Tuscany & struggling with luggage down the steps and pathway to the hotel - was to be greeted (or NOT) by a family... More

We have booked this hotel for a summer vacation and had very bad experience with the situation of it first of all. It is NOT in Positano, but in Praiano, and there are around 50 steep stairs to reach it! Not suitable for families with children! We wanted to cancel it for the rest of our stay even before sleeping... More
