We are a young couple (26) that spent 3 nights- 4 days at al bariletto del nonno. If u want to enjoy positano at its real value you should stay there. Away from the crowds of positano this place is wonderful (3 km, and if u need a ride, he will lift you with pleasure!). The host, Giovanni and his... More

This bed & breakfast gives you 5 star treatment. My boyfriend and I had the best experience of our travels all throughout Italy here. We love you Giovanni! We can't wait to come back here. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Giovanni is the most caring genuine man, he gave us a ride into the town let us try his homemade... More

This is a family run hotel that was everything we hoped for and more. Having read a number of reviews before booking we expected a quality hotel with good service but Giovanni and his family went above and beyond expectations. The room was located on the top floor and having a very large balcony provided a stunning view of the... More

I don't know where to start. Our family just came back yesterday from our trip staying at Barilotto Del Nonno's. This is the second time staying with this wonderful wonderful family. The family includes Geovanni, Rachel, Joanna, Mario, Phillpie, Veto, their oldest sister and of course Masimo. It is truly a family operated hotel with each having thier own part... More

A fabulous place to escape to, just beautifully positioned a short distance from Positano. Giovanni and the family are superb hosts, offering wonderful suggestions and assistance as required. Our well serviced room enjoyed superb views with a small deck and sun lounges. The lovely air-conditioned room was spacious with a large new bathroom and even had wi-fi. We chose to... More

Stayed three nights at Al Barilotto with Giovanni and his family, wish we had stayed longer! Was an amazing place with newly renovated bedrooms, but the charm of a traditional italian restaurant down stairs. The food served was amazing, can highly recommend the muscles! As mentioned before Giovanni and his family were absolutely amazing, felt like being with my own... More

Other reviews have said it but I will say again, the hospitality here is five star. Giovanni and his family welcomed us with open arms (literally) and we had such a wonderful time. We didn't realise initially that Barilotto was outside of the main town (5 min drive) but in fact this was perfect. There are two great beaches within... More

Mr. Giovanni and his family own this restaurant and cannot do enough to please every guest. We went to Positano for our sons wedding and ended up having the rehearsal dinner here. Food prepared perfectly. The bruschetta is out of this world plus the homemade tiramisu was to die for! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant with marvelous views!!! Plus we... More

My 20-year old daughter and I stayed at Al Barilotto del Nonno for the first 9 nights of our trip to Italy in May 2014. The location was great as a home base to explore Positano and the Amalfi Coast, and our visit here was the absolute highlight of our entire trip. The room was clean, spacious, and had a... More

We stayed at this charming property after reading the reviews and we are happy to say that it exceeded all expectations. From the moment you enter to the time you leave Mr. Giovanni and his family makes it so memorable. He told us this was our home & treated us like family. The newly renovated room on the top floor...
