We found this hotel to be very beautiful upon check-in. Location not bad, pretty blue tiles and white walls for the rooms, however, the shower water had a distinct chlorine smell that was unavoidable. We were traveling in a party of 8 and had three rooms next to each other (14, 15, 16). All bathrooms were affected. The water burned... More

I booked this hotel for an impromptu one night stay in Positano. It was quite expensive I thought (well over 200E without breakfast, that would have been 30E more - seriously?!?) . I booked a room with a balcony and view, and it did have both - but the view was to the back side of Positano, and out to... More

A rather tacky lobby filled with garish art but friendly and helpful staff. The room was adequate. The breakfasts were excellent and could be taken outside on the varandah on the street overlooking the bay. Staff made a wonderful suggestion for dinner the first night - within walking distance of the hotel and a staff member actually accompanied us there.... More

This hotel is amazing just like the staff! I wish we stayed in Positano for longer than two nights. The hotel staff (I cant remember their names now) were incredibly friendly and told us the best places to eat and where to go etc. They organised for us as well as other hotel guests to go to a Trattoria restaurant... Rooms were spacious and the views were fantastic. We were right above the lobby, so it was a little noisy, but not too bad. Staff was very helpful in setting up dinners and helping with other requests. It's about halfway up the hill, so you can get quite a workout coming back up the steps from the harbor. There's also... We loved the beautiful flowers that surround the front entrance. They were so accommodating and we had such a great time there. The breaksfast was unreal, far from the typical continental breakfast, but a wide variety of delicious foods. Would definitely stay there again.

My friend and I stayed here and had a little balcony off our room overlooking part of Positano and the ocean, on the 3rd floor I think. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was comparatively roomy. Service was great, and the breakfast provided as part of our self-guided walking tour was good. I'm not sure, though, why hotels... More

Art Pasitea was a nice way to spend 3 nights at the end of our 3 wks in Italy. Note that breakfast isn't automatically included and we got that surprise. Views are incredible and service was great. Great food recommendations in the area with options including pickup and drop off. Room was more than adequate and there are too many... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon and I absolutely loved it. I would stay here again for a return trip. I liked our room and we had an outstanding private balcony with two lounge chairs and a bistro table. We were specially accomodated by the hotel staff because we informed them it was out honeymoon. We felt at home with... More

We recently stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is in a great spot, the view is beautiful and you can choose to take the steps or the road to the beach, and the bus stops right out the front. Firstly the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and great at recommending places to eat and transport etc! Our room was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Overlooking the bay of Positano, the Positano Art Hotel Pasitea is a perfect example of Mediterranean architecture, with its masonry, lava stone and wrought iron furnishing. Completely renovated, the Hotel has the typical terrace-structure which can be immediately recognized thanks to the magnificent bougainvillea coming up from the vulcanic rocks to underline the property shapes made of arches and vaults. The Hall has a blue flooring painted of white waves which reminds the water sea movement. The circular stairs leads to every floor from which enjoy a different amazing view of Positano and of the sea. All the rooms are wide, air conditioned, with satellite television and individual balconies overlooking the sea. Each one faces a wonderful seaside landscape and the suites have a seaview Jacuzzi. The hotel has also a very special wine bar, where it’s possible to have dinner, taste the best products of Italian gastronomy and chose from a great selection of national wines. Free Wi-Fi ADSL connection and efficient business corner in the lobby. Private car park with an extra charge. ... more   less
