My husband and I stayed at Le Agavi in July 2015 for two nights. I have been to Italy many times and this was my second time on the Amalfi coast. In my experience Le Agavi is overpriced for what it is. The hotel and the rooms are very dated, the place is in dire need of renovation. The breakfast... More

We had an unforgettable experience at Le Agavi. My parents visited 3 years ago and since then have been insisting on bringing the entire family. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. The staff were amazing--Antonello at breakfast was my favorite! The hotel is perched along a mountain side and has its own funicular to service the rooms, pool,... More

This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are nicely appointed with great AC (helpful during this summer's heat wave!). The entire hotel is built into the wall of the mountain - from the main road down to the beach. They even have a private Funicular - to get to rooms and to the beach and restaurant. The views from the verandas... More

I have to preface this by saying that we stayed at the private villas that are part of the hotel complex, so my review is not for the hotel rooms but for the property, amenities and service. First I have to say that this place has what must be the best views in Positano! Absolutely breathtaking!! Then it kind of... More

le agavi is quite a tricky place to review. it really depends on your taste and what you mind/don't mind as to whether you'd enjoy this hotel. for a start it's location is just outside positano and a 5-10 minute shuttle ride into town on the hotel's excellent shuttle bus service (driven by valentino rossi). this could be good or... Dear Madam, thank you for your compliments to our home and for your suggestions. Our rooms dispose of electrical vaporizers against mosquitos, although rarely needed. Our terraces, because of their width, any product is ineffective, even though we make pest control every year. We would like to point out, for other people reading, that our private beach is not a... We stayed here as part of our tour stop. During our 2 night stay I develop a like-hate feeling for this hotel. What I like: 1. The view from the main terrace is breath-taking. However, the view from our room terrace is limited. We were given room 101 room.If you happen to be in 104 & up you'll be OK.... More

This was our second stay at Le Agavi, the first one being over 14 years ago. While there are certainly more "luxurious" or expensive places to stay along the Amalfi coast, nothing beats this hotel for service, views and an overall completely relaxing experience. Literally built into the side of a cliff, the views are unparalleled, with every room looking... More

Let's start with the good. The hotel views are amazing, the staff very helpful, the breakfast was good, the location is great since they have a shuttle that takes you into town and if the shuttle is full we did not have to wait another 20 minutes for another - they just got another van to take us. The beach... More

Pros: Incredible, breathtaking views (see photos). The terrace off of the room was wonderful. The on-site restaurants were very good. The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. The breakfast was good and the terrance where you eat has beautiful views. Cons: One of the AC units didn’t work. We had to call twice to get it fixed. The... More
