This was our second consecutive year staying at Palazzo Murat. I was so inspired by its beauty, I even painted it! Everything at Palazzo Murat is heavenly: the villa itself, as well as its furnishings, gardens, pool and staff. From the moment you enter the front gate you will be surrounded by beauty and feel as if you have been... More

This hotel really brings together (in my view) all the key ingredients for an outstanding holiday - excellent location, a beautiful building, gorgeous grounds, outstanding food, and attentive staff. We booked a superior room, which was on the first floor and had a good side view of the sea and overlooked the elegant gardens. The room was well furnished with... More

I really wanted a full ocean view hotel, however, I had to at least give it a try to Palazzo Murat. I have been to Positano several times before, and every time I come here for dinner, because the food is so great. I booked an ocean view room and found it absolutely perfect: very large room with a small... More

This hotel met all our expectations and then some. We had a garden level room which afforded us total privacy on the balcony - coffee arrived within minutes of calling and we enjoyed a cup before a delicious breakast in the lovely garden area. The waitstaff could not have been more responsive and this was our experience throughout our stay.... More

This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We were in Positano in August, so it was pretty crowded. The second you enter the hotel grounds - it is quiet, peaceful, tastefully decorated and in my opinion, one of the best places in town. Don't miss the free lemonade on arrival - it is delicious! Most importantly, the... More

Hotel Palazzo Murat is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment we walked in to the second we left, we were given A+ service. Upon arrival, we were served fresh lemonade and treated like their only reservation. The rooms that we stayed in had incredible views (room 26 and 27) and were extremely... More

My husband & I booked the cheapest 'garden room' and were delighted. I have never stayed in a hotel that I have not one complaint about! The staff were so friendly and charming, accommodating without us needing to ask. Breakfast was a dream, with polished silverware and delicate crockery, all served in a stunning courtyard that we could have sat... More

For Italy this is a good hotel. We had room 32, at the end of the new building close to the sea and church. Room was ok but not large for 2+1 child. Room is serviced twice per day, and very well serviced. Breakfast is ok, service during breakfast was not always friendly. Positano is nice to see and stay... More

I wondered why this property was rated as #1 when I knew that there were other luxurious properties right on the water. Now I know...Palazzo Murat is the best combination of a quality hotel, excellent staff, awesome breakfast, and the best location in town. In Positano, location is extremely important because of the steep hills. This property is right in... More
