Absolutely stunning hotel, it really does show its an old palace, it feels very grand and full of history. The terrace is beautiful, our room was lovely, and the gardens were beautiful. The view from the swimming pool area was pretty unbeatable up towards the mountains and cliff houses. We had lunch in the restaurant here when we first arrived... More

We stayed in a lovely Superior room with balcony on the upper floor in the newer wing for two nights and would have stayed longer if they hadn't been completely booked. Everything was top notch -- the bed, the garden, the breakfast, the accommodating staff. It was spotlessly clean to boot. And one nice feature of this hotel is its... More

Positano is an interesting place - it's basically built vertically into the cliffs - not horizontally like the other towns along the Amalfi coast. Because of this, the location of your hotel determines how much climbing you do - or don't do. My husband and I chose to stay at this hotel because it's right in the heart of the... More

My husband and I returned after ten years to find this hotel still charming, well-run, comfortable and well-located. A first timer might need to know that if you're driving you will have to leave your car and luggage with the nearby garage and trust that your luggage will find you and the car still be there when you return, but... Positano is an amazing town built up a rocky ravine on the Amalfi Coast. Best to arrange parking in a nearby garage before arrival since there are no public lots in this vertical city and street parking ... forget it. The streets switchback up the side of the mountain, with views getting increasingly more beautiful beneath you. Walking is the... More

We stayed at the Palazzo Murat for our honeymoon and nevertheless this villa became our paradise during our stay in Italy. It is an old monastery with a superb courtyard restaurant, pool and beautiful vistas of the mountain side and sea. The service and atmosphere was well worth the pretty $$$ it was to stay here. We stayed at top... More

Right in the heart of Positano with views looking out over the Duomo and the amazing landscape, you could not wish for a more romantic place to spend your time on the Amalfi Coast. Our second time here and loved it just as much as we did 20 years ago. The beautiful bouganvillea cascading down the walls of the hotel... More

The best hotel in Positano hands down. The most amazing location right near everything with a stunning pool. The hotel is an old house and oozes fade Italian glamour with beautiful flowers growing everywhere it's like a movie set. We had a room overlooking the courtyard which was stunning. The food was outstanding and the staff fabulous.

We've just returned from the most perfect time spent in Positano at the Palazzo Murat. We stayed in the original section of the Hotel and the rooms- both ours and our sons were enormous. The bathrooms were a bit on the small size in proportion to the splendour of the bedrooms and whilst we had a magnificent view of the... More

The position and hotel grounds of Palazzo Murat are as good as it gets in Positano. We loved just wandering out the door and popping out for a swim or some lunch without having to hike up and down the paths. The decor of the hotel rooms is traditional Italian and fairly basic, but we would stay here again based... More
