Interesting layout and decor, this conveniently located hotel in Positano is walking distance to everything, including the beach and restaurants and shopping. Be sure to sign up for the coastal cruise down to Amalfi and back. THE BEST part of the visit. The captain stops for a couple swims in the Med. WONDERFUL. Our suite overlooked the entire gardens, the... More

We stayed in the old wing.Loved the view of the mountains and houses and the little sliver of water beyond the church. It was an expensive hotel given the range available but certainly worth the money. The breakfast and dining otherwise was pretty good as well and again we were spoilt for choice since the hotel is at the centre... More

Just gorgeous property in an elegant 18th-century building, with beautiful gardens and an incredible, most romantic restaurant in the garden surrounded by candles for dinner. Service is the best and the food amazing serving local specialties In the center of Positano, rooms overlook the sea, the garden, or have great views of the village. You are in a quiet property... Stayed 3 nights. Location was excellent. Rooms were large, clean and beautiful. We had a partial sea room which had a small balcony. Worth every penny. Beautiful gardens and lovely breakfast served outside every day. It was also nice to come back and relax at the pool in the afternoon every day. Highly recommend the free boat tour that the... More

Our Son got married in Positano in July 14 and a party of us stayed at this hotel We had been to Positano a few times but had managed somehow (!!) to overlook this true gem It is everything you would want / expect from an historic Italian hotel The rooms /staff/gardens and the position of the hotel could neither... We called for reservations but the hotel's recording indicated that would only be possible between 0900 and 1300. A subsequent email requesting information on availability and a time convenient (from USA) to talk was promptly responded to but said there is no time convenient to them for us to speak! OK. The e-mail had the information needed so we confirmed... More

Imagine your own private balcony surrounded by bougainvillea and lemon trees with the iconic majolica tiled dome of the Santa Maria Assunta church towering immediately above. The charming tumble of houses clinging to the hillside is right there outside your french doors. This is the Hotel Palazzo Murat. Our room was charming with its curved door ways and colorful tile... My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo Murat for six nights in May for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel or location. Our room on the second floor took our breath away, with it's grand furniture and four poster bed, the view was equally as impressive, with a side view of the sea.... More

Beautiful accommodations in the hills of Positano! We had a double balcony corner room that gave us views of the city and the water. This was the first city of our honeymoon, we arrived in Naples to discover our luggage was missing! The hotel staff at Palazzo Murat was was soooo helpful in retrieving our luggage. Wonderful dining very inside... More
