My partner and I stayed three nights at L'Ancora and thought it was great. We had a little difficulty finding it initially as the signage is modest. The accommodation is spotless, the rooms are very comfortable and the view from the bedroom window is sensational - Silvano and his wife were fabulous hosts and he is excellent on the morning... What can I say about Silvano and his lovely wife? They are the most delightful and welcoming hosts you could ever wish to meet. Always on hand to help - Silvano went out of his way to find us on arrival climbing down the steep steps to the port to carry our bags. L'Ancora is a lovely little B&B situated... More

Silvano is a great host and it was a pleasure to stay at this place. He grew up in Portovenere and was a convenient source for advice on where to go and what to see. The room was very clean and had a fantastic view of the harbor. An Italian-style breakfast was provided each morning: coffee, juice, and fresh pastry... More

Silvana is a great host in this B&b. just a few years in business so there are new bathrooms. The first room we had did not face the sea and was slightly bigger and quieter. The room facing the sea had a great view but we had to keep the windows open because we could not get the air conditioner... More

Silvano, our smiling host, clearly aims to please. His bed and breakfast is well-located in the old town with beautiful views of the water. The rooms are modern and remarkably clean but the beds are uncomfortably soft. Noise travels easily in the marble and stone building and we were wakened both mornings by slamming doors and the espresso machine. Breakfast... More

This B&B, which has three rooms, is located right in the middle of beautiful Portovenere. We decided to base ourselves here to explore the Cinqueterre by boat. Thankfully, we had calm seas and were able to visit the 4 ports which were accessible by sea and the fifth village, Corniglia, which does not have a port, by train. Our room... More

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Porto Venere. This small fishing and naval community is blessed with a pearl of a location and panoramic views. The rooms are clean, comfortable, equipped with TV and wifi. The bathrooms are practical also. Some rooms have a wonderful view over the bay
