We stayed at this hotel at the end of a trip beginning on the other side of Italy. We only stayed one night but really enjoyed the vibe in Porto Santo Stefano. The hotel itself was a bit of a strange place in that it was stuck in a time warp between the late sixties and early seventies. That said,... More

I've paid 220 per night for a small room with a double bed plus a bed for a child, the style of the room was stuck in the 60's when la caletta was at its top, after few minutes using the room the soap holder broke, and the main window handle too, the direction has promptly fixed both, but this... Joining a yacht party and staying with my partner I'm in the enviable position of not having chosen La Caletta. It's a charming and delightful small family run hotel on a rocky coast in a port style town on a promontory halfway between Rome and Pisa. It gets chosen because of the boats. It's clean and friendly, but in need... More

This is a strange little place that we got into almost by accident. Old, rundown, noise and not very safe. Very few who could speak english, The food was very average. But the view was great from the hotel balcony over the sea.

Very charming town of Porto Santo Stefano is easily accessed by walking from the hotel. The hotel is on the waterfront with great views from the breakfast room / lounge. The rooms are right on the waterfront. There is a very large restaurant with water views. The property has the feeling of a mid-scale beachfront hotel. There is nothing upscale... More

My room was very basic. Not much in the way of amenities in the room, however, the promenade area between the hotel and the reception and dining rooms was very nice for relaxing without being on the beach. Hotel staff were all very pleasant. Breakfast was good. Dinners were forgettable. Eat elsewhere.

Dear Deareleven, thank you for your comment, we are glad that you had a good stay. Just as you have written "Nice next to the sea", our location gives you the feeling of being on board a ship to have the relaxing company of the sea every moment of the day. As we have repeated in other comments, our rooms... More

Very good location with waterfront rooms, in a charming town with excellent promenade and great bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are small and the walls thin, but the restaurant is good value and high quality, and the manager charming and helpful. Very good location for driving out and investigating the region too. We were only here two days on... More

Dear AnotherEnglishman, many thanks for your comment. We are glad for your pleasant stay and for all the appreciation that has directed us. Our greatest satisfaction is that you like Argentario and the fact that it is a great starting point for exploring the surrounding region. You are right when you say that two days is too short, so we... More

We stayed at Hotel La Caletta at Port Santo Stefano during the hot summer weather and it was beautifull. The Hotel is a sprawling building right on the water with a personal beach. The room was a little small but the terrace on top where breakfast is served is awesome. The sunrise over the water from our bedroom window was... More

The location is fantastic, just at the far end of Porto santo stefano right at the waterfront and a short stroll from the town centre. The free parking outside the hotel is a great plus in the otherwise hotly contested public parking spaces along the seafront. The rooms are not the biggest nor recently updated but are clean and the... More

after spending 2 days in a very busy Rome it was fantastic to stay a La Caletta. The hotel is located on the sideside and has lovely spacious rooms overlooking the sea.
