What a beautiful location, we had been staying at Lake Como for a few days, although stunning it was extremely expensive for a room. Spent a week at the Arcobaleno with Riccardo and his staff, we took the advise of the staff and caught the train to Pistioa and Florence, The Dinners were always a nice surprise, home cooking and... We had driven from Nice to Florence with no reservations. We were not impressed by the hotels in Pistoia, so we decided to head into the hills. By about 9:00 p.m. we still had not found anything. Our GPS (Microsoft AutoRoute on a Minicomputer) showed a hotel a bit off the main road and we called the Arcobaleno and they... More

Very isolated Hotel, i got some real chilly vibes from "The Shining", when I saw the place. OK rooms and facilities, but so far off anything else that I wouldn't recommend it. Actually we booked it by mistake. When trying to drive there , coming from the west, we followed the gps blindly (BIG mistake), uphill on steep, narrow roads,... More

The location is really nice. Its right in the middle of the mountain, sorrounded by trees and a very small village. The hotel has a big swimming pool and a tennis court, although we were surprised to notice at the end of our stay that we had to pay 5€ for each time we had used it. The breakfast could... More

Much potential but needs some tender loving care. Our room looked over pretty valley scene and some rooms had balconies over courtyard. Take a bar of soap with you. Breakfast is fair but wine tasting and dinner were outstanding. Beautiful patio. Pool was just being filled. Very small town (150) but great pizza place for dining outside with locals. Stairs...
