The hotel is a modern hotel which seems best suited for summer beach activities. It is located toward the periphery of the town and requires something of a walk to reach all but a few restaurants. The decor is contemporary and lacks the usually charm of hotels in southern Italy. However, the rooms were spacious and there was a nice... More

We stayed as a group of 5, 4 adults and 1 child and we split the rooms as a Junior suite and one of the cottage rooms that sleeps 3, the Junior suite (room 206) was excellent apart from the air conditioning unit which was really ineffective at doing its job, the cottage room was not good though and was... I share a lot of what has been written in the reviews and also recognise the shortcomings of this place. However, the view and the location are so stunning that you tend to forget of a lot of other things that could be improved. That is why I put 4 stars. Firstly, make sure you speak to Luisa of the... This is a lovely hotel, which has lots of individual rooms. A steep path leads down to beach and a nice pool at the hotel. The room was basic, but with charm, a lovely balcony and fantastic sea view we were in the Marinelli area. The food was good. Staff very helpful especially accomodating when due to a flight being... The king's hotel is a great hotel along the Cilento Coast. I cannot commend them enough from the moment we arrived at check-in all the way through our stay on departure. The genuine warmth and friendliness which was shown,  The food was delicious as was the room overlooking the sea.The hotel is just beautiful. The rooms are oversized, and well... More

Our trip begun from Rome where we stayed our first night. Then we took train to Palinuro which was easy travelling with a moderate price (90 euro + 20 euro for taxi, almost 400km trip). We had not much information about the hotel, but it exceeded our expectations. The hotel probably have seen its best days, since it felt like... More

After 22 years I decided to return to Palinuro were I have spent all my summer holidays as a kid. I remembered that, in the beginning of the 80's, King's Residence was the most luxurious and expensive hotel then. We arrived at the reception and a very friendly employee, Luisa, told us that they had upgrated us. On internet, we... More

I agree with the other comments, in that the setting is amazing, the views are spectacular and the pool is nice. We liked the fact that part of the pool was shallow enough for the kids to paddle about in and the other part was deep enough for them to swim and dive (and us). But no poolside service or... More

We stayed here for 5 nights it was a glorious location beautiful pool walk down to idyllic beach (maybe too many steps if you are elderly or injured) handy walk into town 10 minutes. Breakfasts are good staff very helpful dinner menu is limited and a bit pricey but you do get to look over fantastic view on lovely terrace.... More
