We liked this hotel a lot. Very modern and stylish, nice view from the balcony. Everything worked. Excellent breakfast served outside. It's a short walk from the train station and from the archaeological site, which is why we went there. Wifi was strong.

We spent two nights here. This bnb is in a great location, close to the archaeology park and museum and a short walk to a supermarket, the beach and buffalo farm. Veronica was very kind and helpful. The room was large, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was full of local treats. Even though it was winter some of the nearby restaurants were open.

Only here one night unfortunately, would like to have stayed longer. Themed rooms based on the elements, sun and moon - stayed in the sun room. The building is old and the furnishings antique (in a good way). Our room had a comfortable large metal framed bed, a quirky wardrobe and lovely old dressing table and was a good size with a decent shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room had dual aspect windows and you could see some excavation work still going on from the one that overlooked the site. Domenico who checked us in was friendly and offered us a drink on arrival but by the time we arrived we needed to get to the archaeological site. Couldn't stay long for breakfast either as we had a train to catch but the lady at breakfast made us an excellent coffee and offered us some cake which was delicious and unfortunately all we had time for. Would recommend staying if you like somewhere out of the ordinary. The B&B is located down a side street at the far end of the main road of Paestum. The restaurant further down this side street had a good meat menu and the one on the corner of the side street looked very nice. Wish we'd gone to one of these as was recommended because the meal we had in one of the restaurants opposite the archaeological site was over priced and not great. Would defintely stay again but would stay longer and visit the mozarella farm which is nearby as well as the Paestum site again. I really don't understand why this site is not visited more as it was amazing!

Friendly and charming host. Pittoresk and cosy themerooms. Located directly beside the historical temple. Breakfast is made by the host herself after your wishes. If you need a table for the evening, your hist will call some places she recommend and book table for you.

The hotel cancelled our reservation and offered us an alternative 'more expensive' place for the same price - we had no other choice but accept, which ended up to be not a great option without any reason.

If you are visiting Paestum for a night, it is the place to stay. Although the room is very small , the service is great , friendly and the location is perfect to visit the top sites of Paestum. And you can park for free if you have a car !

Wow what excellent hosts and a fabulous historical place to stay especially if you are wanting to visit the monuments. We were travelling by train and the hosts met us from the station. On arrival we were offered drinks and snacks. Our room was on the first floor and the bed was the most comfortable we slept in (8 in total) on our travels. Our evenings were spent wandering, looking at the monuments either from inside or outside the area. Due to the distance from the beach and having no transport the host gave us bikes which was brilliant. If you like us are travelling independently there is a local bus (watch the times) that goes to Salerno for about 4 euros giving you chance to see more than what you would by train.

Lovely, clean casa with quirky features such as wooden beams and exposed brick work. The back of the casa joins with the ancient walls of Paestum site. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the museum. Breakfast was nice, mostly sweet pastries but we could request cheese, bread and tomatoes too. Casa serves lovely food al fresco but I found that the waiter may have misunderstood our order on purpose so that we pay more for a meal we didn't order. After the meal, when I wanted to pay, I was offered a shot of limoncello thinking it was complimentary by the way it was offered to me verbally, but no, it was addd straight away to our bill. I felt manipulated at best. Casa is also at a small junction so it was loud at night and in the morning with all the drivers beeping their horns. I'd give Rubin's 3 stars for the restaurant and 4 for the overall feel of it.

This B&B is a short walk from the archeological museum and park (which, by the way, is simply outstanding). We looked at two rooms downstairs, both of which had nice ceiling fans but no a/c, and two rooms upstairs, which have the roof as the ceiling but which do have air conditioning. We chose the upper rooms. Our room has exposed log beams with a finished wood ceiling. One outer wall is very old stone, but finished nicely around its edges with artful plaster. The other outer wall and the inner walls are plaster, nicely painted. The bath looks quite new, but is very small, with the sink and mirror under the slope of the roof. I cannot stand at the sink (standing at 5’11”, 180 cm), but must bend over to get close. The shower is quite small, about 24 inches square (60 cm), but the water is copious and hot. Each room in this B&B has part of St. Francis’ Canticle to Brother Sun and Sister Moon painted on the door. Our room has the verse addressed to Brother Fire, and the head of the bed has part of that same verse cut into the painted steel, with a large, terra cotta likeness of St. Francis in the center. Fascinating. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Some rumble of trucks driving by in the night, but it did not keep me from a good night’s sleep. Nice breakfast of Italian pastries, with good American coffee. No regular black tea, though.

Our three days in Paestum was made all the more enjoyable with our stay at Casa Rubini. This was nothing short of old world charm and most gracious hospitality. I cannot recall ever being more relaxed in any vacation spot. Our hostess Veronica prepared made to order breakfasts topped with the best cheesecake that I have ever experience and I am a lover of cheesecake. Our spacious room overlooked the intersection of the Porta Aurea and the easy pace of the traffic added to the overall ambiance. With the mountains to the east and the ancient Greek ruins to the the south the location could not have been more perfect. Yes this is some quaint old world charm removed just far enough from the main tourist area but still only a stroll away to the entrance of the park. Escape to Paestum and retreat to Casa Rubini, where in addition you can take a short bike ride to enjoy the surf and the sand where the ancients once roamed and called home.
