Our plans kept changing & Domus Laeta was able to accomodate every change, even a last minute change when we wanted to add an extra day. Our room was charming with a view over the pool & the valley with Jasmine blooming along the edge. It was the old wine cellar with barrel vaulted ceiling. Antiques & a clever storage... More

The villa is beautiful and the pool area with its views are lovely (but they don't overlook Paestum's ruins as I saw in one description). The rooms are spacious and have a really lovely antique style, and the interiors overall are lovely. We were disappointed to be met by someone who wasn't expecting us, and to receive no information about... More

I stayed at this inn this spring, well before the main season. The owner was not in residence and I was the only guest. A young man from India with the nickname "Vikky" (that's my guess on the spelling) was the host. Vikky is an all around handy man here and also greets the guests and serves dinner. His brother... This historic villa Is in an idyllic setting with fantastic views all the way to Capri. Camilla and her daughter are gracious hosts and very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The village itself is wonderful old Italy and largely unaffected by tourism. I particularly like the little bar a few doors down? There a several very good cafes close... More

This is a fabulous house, you'll feel privileged to stay. The pool and terrace has wonderful views down the valley. The town itself is charming and beautiful. Lots of local colour and events. The owner sometimes cooks or hosts parties and her meals are excellent and the events great fun. The surrounding countryside is spectacular. All in all, a wonderful... More

Leave the SS18 at 100k marker Agricola, right and right at the roundabout follow the road to a T, left for a couple of hundred mtrs then follow the road to Giungano for 8ks - you're going for the 2nd Church steeple in the village on the hill. Immediately prior to the "square" opposite the church there's a steep 20... More

It was a beautiful old house, with lots of character, we loved it, if you like pristine modern bathrooms etc this is not the place for you, but it was fab for us. Lovely views, fruit growing everywhere, charming family, extraordinary breakfasts, infinity pool.....would I go here again, definitely.

The words the happy say, are paltry melody. But those the silent feel, are beautiful ... (Emily Dickinson). The carefully hidden gem called Domus Laeta, is one of those very rare places you rather keep for yourself than making publicity about it. Perched against the steep hills of Giungano, it slumbers in its 17th century atmosphere. Lovingly restored, with a... More

we stayed five nights in this beautiful ancient place. the house has a lot of grandeur and is very well maintained, clean and intimate. we really enjoyed the flowery garden, the swimming pool and the astonishing view. the staff is very sympathetic, of service (antonello helped me change tires, grazie mille again!) and pleasant. when they do, the house serves... We spent two days here and could easily have spent longer. The house and grounds are gorgeous, the staff lovely, the rooms (we had two, interconnecting for the four of us) furnished beautifully. The evening meal was totally delicious and while not cheap, worth every penny compared to meals just a few euros less we had elsewhere. Comilla is a... More
