We were on a whirlwind tour if Italy and this was our stop before Rome. it was the perfect respite from siteseeing and crowds. Emiliano and his wife have made a gorgeous inn, right in the middle of vineyards and olive groves. While walking one evening from the main house to our apartment, we watched the fireflies dance about amongst... more

We were with a Rick Steves tour that stayed for two nights at La Rocca Agritourismo. I was expecting some kind of farmhouse...well, some farmhouse! The hotel is situated on 60 acres of rolling vineyards and olive groves, located a few miles away from the town of Orvieto. The hotel commands a stunning view of the countryside and offers a... more

Truly a first class resort/hotel. The staff are completely attentive, the grounds are impeccable and beautiful, the food is first class, and unparalleled views of the Italian countryside to top it all!!! Our room was large, nicely furnished, and immaculate. Even the bathroom was spacious, which in Europe, is not the norm. We had a wonderful view of the countryside... more

We stayed here for two nights following our arrival at the Rome Airport. It was a little tricky finding La Rocca Orvieto but after following the directions very carefully and watching for road signs, we finally made it. The location is further out of Orvieto than we would have wanted ( about 10-15 min drive, not walking distance) but the... more

We loooooved our stay a La Rocca! The staff was so friendly and personable. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, quiet, modern and affordable. The property was that of story books - so beautiful. And the food and wine were delicious! We enjoyed every last peaceful, relaxing moment and are hoping and praying we can go back some day! Thank you... more

After reading other reviews on this agriturismo, my husband and I looked forward to our stay there. The exterior of the property was nice with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the service we received was inferior to other agriturismos and B&Bs we visited, as the tour group staying there seemed to require all the attention. We liked the idea of staying at... more

Stayed here for two nights of our 17 day Rick Steves' Italy tour, and this was probably my favorite hotel. Our accommodation in the Villa dell'Olio section had a living room and kitchenette, a spacious hallway, nice size bedroom, and huge bathroom. Our terrace overlooked the beautiful winery and countryside. It was a long walk down to the breakfast room... more

The owners and staff were really really helpful and the restaurant was great. We ate there both nights to... more

After being robbed in Rome, we had a wonderful, peaceful stay at La Rocca outside Orvieto. What a gorgeous spot! Every room has a balcony or porch. Ours overlooked the pristine rolling hills of Umbria. The restaurant was fantastic--the best food in Italy (but not cheap)! It's also a great location for exploring the area. Orvieto is a wonderful hilltop... more

Stayed at La Rocca for two nights. Wonderful location, food, staff, rooms and views. Perhaps not the best place for my 1 year old son (the food a bit too fancy) but would be great for a honeymoon or a family with older children. Will be going back again. more
