This is an old hotel with small rooms and even smaller ensuite bathrooms, you will have to be under 60kilograms to fit in the shower. I understand this is an old property but the owners could have made the bathrooms a little bigger. Breakfast was OK until we asked for a cappuccino and was told because we were part of... More

200 year old hotel in the old city. Your not meant to stay in the room in a place like this. No AC means you have to leave the room to explore the beautiful ancient town and surroundings. We're 5 including two teenagers and a 6 yo. This place h as so many beautiful things, vaulted ceilings. Parking available for... More

Orvieto was our favorite city. it is a very old walled and sits on top of a hill with a beautiful view. the streets are quite quaint and attractive. The hotel in in the center of town and requires a walk to the escalators that go up thru the walls when they work. We walked. the hotel is quite old... More

The room is very disappointing. It smells of bathroom grime. Here for two nights and so angry about no Airconditioning, I'm writing this review just after the first night, because I woke up in a state of being sweaty and hot. All our other friends say the same thing ... No Airconditioning! Have friends staying here in 6 other rooms.... More

I stayed here on a recent cycling tour for 1 night, I'm glad it was only one night, this was a really disappointing hotel. My main gripes were, there was no A/C, it was 25 outside at night in June and the room was easily hotter. There were some sort of A/C units, but they just blew out room temperature... More

Second year, attending the Umbria Jazz festival over new year, staying at the Aquila. Very warm inside, freezing out (unusually). All fine again, mixup over parking (they said by email we should park off-site, we parked far away and found they had reserved a space for us nonetheless-don't use the town covered car park in Via Roma as it is... In an old palace in the center of Orvieto, the Hotel has for sure a special flair, but what surprised me the updating of internal ambients and forniture, to offer the guest an up-to-date service. The rooms are clean and well equipped. A friendly and flexible team completed the offer and made my stay a pleasure. This is an Hotel... More

We really liked how courteous Roberta and Stefano were. They tried their best to answer all of our questions. The room was basic. Our room faced out on to the cobblestone street below. If you are a light sleeper you may hear traffic during peak times. I thought there would be less tourists here in Orvieto in late November, but... More

We spent 1 night at this hotel on our Country Roads of Italy tour through Insight Vacations, and I loved it. Orvieto is such a charming town, built behind big stone walls, I just wish we could of stayed longer in Orvieto, next time. The room was clean and comfortable, and our room looked out onto the cobblestone street. Keep... More

We stayed in Orvieto for one night while heading south and happened upon a beautiful ancient town with great charm. We had picked the Aquila Bianca from hotels.com and were impressed with everything from the warmest of welcomes to the farewell handshake the next day. The owners of the hotel were the most attentive and helpful hoteliers we have met... More
