Our one night stay at Hotel Virgilio was great.   Parking, unloading, and ck-in was fast and pleasant.  As requested, we got 2 rooms facing the Duomo -- beautiful!  Quiet, clean and enough space for us and luggage ... and rate was good for such a location, view and good bfst included.  Apprec the staff watching our luggage next day... This was a last minute booking for us as we decided to go to Orvieto at the last second. Glad that we did. Very pretty town and Sigorelli's Last Judgment in the Duomo justified the visit alone. The hotel's exterior dates to the construction of the Duomo but the interior has been entirely redone in the last few years. As... More

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Orvieto. It is right on the Duomo piazza. Our room faced out onto the piazza which was great and he room was very clean and comfortable. There is no parking at the hotel. You can drive up to it and drop off luggage but have to park in one of the town public... More

This hotel is right on the Duomo and was a perfect location. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. It is hard to locate by car if you are new to the town. We had a hard time driving to it and finally I walked to the hotel and David at the front desk was kind enough to follow... More

It pleases me to write this review because we felt right hat home from the moment we first arrived at the Virgilio. After parking at the front door, Mateo immediately began helping unload our very heavy bags. And, his help didn't stop there. After getting us registered and our bags up to our room (he did it all), he made... More

This hotel was on the Duomo square. We had a small room situated at the back, so was very quiet. There was a lovely comfortable large bed and there were excellent facilities - all to a high standard. The property was deceptive as it was very old from the outside, but beautifully designed inside and included a small lift. The... More

We had a room with two twin beds. Very comfortable. Bathroom was small but adequate. Wifi worked well. Hotel staff were all very helpful. We were able to park across the piazza from the hotel and duomo at a very short distance, for about 10euro for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was included at the lower level of the... More

We stayed two nights. Although we did not book a room facing on to the Duomo, we were given one. At night the view out is magical - and it is quiet. Our room was excellent - quiet modern decor, clean, a comfortable bed, good wifi, excellent bathroom. The room was not large, but not small either - perfectly adequate!... More

We stayed here on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews and I must say we are a little disappointed certainly central and clean, rooms are plain but comfy, breakfast was poor as too was the coffee if you can't get a good coffee in Italy theres something wrong. At 130euros a night it was a lot for what we got, we... More

A one night visit and a lost cell phone for one of our group - the hotel staff went out of there way to track us down and help find a way to get the phone back to the rightful owner! Personal service and super friendly staff! Great place and would definitely stay there again if ever back in Orvieto.
