Driving into the farm is like driving through fairyland, forest then opening out to tranquil farmland. Views of Orvieto and 3 other hill towns, vineyards and olive groves. The peaceful sounds of birds and water falling nearby.add to the serenity of this place. Paolo's welcome is warm and friendly. The rooms very comfortable and spacious and the food tasty and... More

We loved everything but we do recommend checking with the host for very precise directions as this property is extremely challenging to find. Please don't let that dissuade you as it's WELL worth the effort ! We hope to return again within a year. The rural charm, the enchanting countryside, the very warm welcome by a charming & well-traveled host,... More

La Chiusetta is a world of its own- a beautiful and incredibly peaceful paradise. My parents and I arrived in mid-February of 2014 for a few nights while traveling south- Paolo and Sara welcomed us as family...even my dog. Paolo prepared wonderful meals for us and we spent a good amount of time wandering the grounds. It was very difficult... More

We stayed here with our 2 children for a week. The environment was very beautiful en quiet. We often took a walk on the large property with many olive trees and below there's a small road to a small cascade. Nature dominates here on the farmhouse. The pool was very child-friendly and there are many things to do for the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights along with our friends and had a very hard time leaving! The setting is just breathtaking! Views are gorgeous! So many hidden treasures on this property...from the olive groves to the bocci courts to the trellis' just starting to fill in with grape vines...after a long day of walking around Orvieto it was so... Arriving to this agritourism was like coming to paradise. At the end of a small road, La Chiusetta opens up with its meadows, old houses, olive groves and vineyards. It is a true haven for someone looking for peace and beauty. The owner, Signor Paolo, was very kind and offered us to taste his own wine. Unfortunately we did not... More

Paolo was a great host, very friendly and welcoming. Even though we came at the last minute at night and he wasn't expecting any guests that day as it was off-season, he cooked up a great dinner, with a bottle of "house wine" (made on the farm). The price was good, and the rooms were very comfortable. The surrounding nature... More

I just want to say that Paolo and Sara are gracious hosts. The property is created from three farm houses. Paolo has dedicated himself to the quality of the time period, early 1900's, and given attention to the artifacts and remembrances of these old farmhouses. Lovely accommodations! Breakfast is quite fun, under the summer/fall arbor and Paolo will reward you... More

Towards the end of 3 weeks of touring northern Italy, we returned to the Orvieto area without reservations and chanced upon the traditional sign for an "agritourismo". Trusting our luck, we followed the signs for La Chiusetta, down a twisting one track lane that made us wonder if we'd made a mistake. What a wonderful surprise when it came into... More

Wonderful agriturismo with beatiful landscape, nice and quiet rooms and great prices. The owner Paolo is very friendly and is a great cooker. We had one of the best meals of our trip there, for about $20,00 per person , including wine, first and second courses and dessert (for dinner, need to book first) The acess to the agriturismo is...
