Just returned from our second wonderful visit and we were greeted and treated as friends. If you want a friendly, professionally run family-owned hotel and you value peace and tanquility in a glorious setting, the Uhrerhof is the answer. Add to this, the fabulous 5 course dinners cooked by Herr Zemmer, and the luxurious and superbly equipped spa, you won't... more

We stayed for 3 nights in mid-September, and agree with what previous reviewers have said - this is a delightful hotel in a beautiful location, with excellent breakfasts and dinners. The furnishings and decoration are quite spectacular, with many fascinating antiques. We didn't manage to spend much time in the garden, as we were out on the mountains most of... more

Nine years ago, after listening to friends rave about the beauty of Val Gardena, we decided to check it out with a quick three-day visit. In fact, we "stumbled" upon the Uhrerhof Deur because it is a non-smoking property which in the year 2000 was a remarkable find. We just completed our 9th annual visit and will return next year... more

Based on the glowing reviews here we booked four nights at the Urherhof. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. We will always remember fondly the kindness and work ethic of the owners. However; I do think that for Americans there are a few details you need to know ahead of time to decide if it is the place for you.... more

We LOVED this place!!! We went to multiple countries and stayed in many different hotels and this was our favorite. The family are wonderful hosts, very accomodating. The food and wine were excellent. They made you feel like part of the family. The rooms were so clean and the beds were soft and comfortable, furniture beautiful. The spa was a... more

My wife and I are just back from 3 nights in this lovely hotel. We arrived late at night and had a job to find it - we did not know that Pufels and Bulla are one and the same place! It was worth the effort! The breakfasts were terrific; the fare was plenty even for a man who salivates... more

If you are prepared to drive away from the main roads, along narrow country roads, do visit this small family-run hotel. Its position is awesome - hanging over the town of Ortisei. Everything about it shouts tradition; from the building itself to the genuine wooden furnishings. Small things really please such as the heart with your name on it hanging... more

This small hotel is perched on the edge of a ravine overlooking Val Gardena, with a wonderful view of Ortesei/St Ulrich in the valley below. It is built in the traditional Tyrolean style, with its own beautifully-designed split-level garden at the back. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The hotel is owned and operated by the Zemmer family,... more

My wife and I stayed for two nights in October, we wished we had made more time to be in this property. The location is beautiful, the service was perfect and there is no way to describe the food. The location is a little out of the way but would be perfect for a family retreat. There was a three... more

We stayed at the Hotel Uhrerhof-Deur in May 2006. I can honestly say that this hotel is one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in. The large rooms were spotless, modern and quaint at the same time. In fact that is a good way to describe the entire hotel. As you walk through the building you see... more
