This is a grand, old (1800s?), lovingly restored, elegant in the center of Norcia, a shopping mecca for pork, salami, truffles, cheese, etc. There are exceptionally comfortable common rooms, plus a good library. The room we stayed in, room 206, is a large, very well appointed and quiet room with its own private balcony. The bathroom arrangement is that there... More

Norcia is a lovely charming town. I had thought that it would be a good base to explore some of the lovely hill towns of Umbria. What I didn't realise is that it is quite difficult to get to because of narrow winding roads. Spoleto is the nearest city and while it's only about 40km but it takes about 50... More

We came to Palazzo Seneca for the cooking school with Chef Emanuelle and had the time of our lives! Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about his profession, he was a great teacher- personable, fun and charming to boot! His staff in the kitchen were also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! This is a foodie's Italian dream! You will learn so... More

The location, design, from large to small details was just perfect. Stuff was super friendly and helpful. The communal spaces are beautifully designed and makes feel comfy and at home. Excellent rich breakfast in the most beautiful room overlooking the inner garden. In short, a rare gem of the highest rank of great and professional hospitality.

We stayed at the Palazzo Seneca for two night for our friends wedding. The hotel is small and in the heart of the town. Very quiet, the rooms are gorgeous and the view over the mountains is beautiful. The staff is 5*, marvellous.

We had an amazing stay at Palazzo Seneca. Despite the fact that we had to wait at least 10 min as we arrived when others were checking in, we were very happy to set our bags down and explore the common areas of this beautifully restored hotel. The staff (both in the hotel and restaurant Vespasia) accommodated our every request... More

Found this hotel through an article in a magazine, OMG are we glad bought the magazine, From the staff, the rooms, the food, the location, in fact everything was just wonderful. We stayed at Palazzo Seneca between Christmas and New Year. It was wonderful. Discreet and very pleasant staff, a charming and very friendly owner who greeted us at her restaurant across the street. The people at the hotel go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The decor is elegant, the food excellent, the location ideal!!

Great atmosphere combined with a touch of lux in one medieval chateaux hotel within the castle city of Norcia. Very helpful and friendly staff, outperforming themselves under the directions of the very experienced ( in the hospitality and food business) family owners. Every room has its' own history, with the amazing old fireplace and library. Definately recommended. Ask for a... More

This charming renovated 16th century stone palace is for travellers in the know who want to explore lesser-known Norcia, in a relatively tourist-free zone. A few highlights of my stay included: the incredible hospitality by the Bianconi brothers, a day trip to beautiful surrounding countryside (Castelluccio di Norcia), the hotel spa, private cooking class and the 7-course 'tasting' menu -...
