Basically perfect in every way for our travelling tastes. The room is perfect as modern rooms go. Everything works and is clean and comfortable. Elevator is sparkling stainless steel modern. Nothing but compliments all around. Air conditioning is quiet and works. The roll-down shutters completely darken the room if you prefer (as we do.) Nice elegant touches. bathroom is 4-star... More

We stayed for one night en route to Amalfi. It's only a 10 minute drive into Montepulciano. The owners have continually invested in this hotel so it feels modern but actually they have run it for the last 30 years. By way of investment, there is a modern external glass lift and bathrooms are smart and up to date. Rooms... More

This was our last stop on our Italy tour and one of the best places we stayed. Hotel was clean and owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. The owners, mother and son were gracious hosts. Initially hard to find but a jewel. Would recommend highly. Does not have a pool but sightseeing takes up all... More

Very nice family running the hotel who helped us with everything we wanted. The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate for sleeping in while you spend the day visiting the villages dotted around the landscape. Bathrooms are very modern - entire hotel only about 15 years old. Simple but good breakfast included.

Driving past Montepulciano, heading towards Sant'Albino where the hotel is, I asked her "Did you know that this hotel is 'a bit' far from Montepulciano?' - thinking that this was going to be a small town hotel wannabe! My heart sank as we entered Sant’Albino - blink twice and you'll miss it. What a surprise as I turned into the... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel I Due Cigni in September 2014 and we can't say enough about how enjoyable they made our experience. Everyone there is part of the same family and work so hard, day and night, to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, with great knowledge of the area offering outstanding advice on locations to visit,... This hotel is a bit outside of montepulciano, but easy to get to by car. Also great location to visit the thermal baths & other towns nearby like chianciano and pienza. Very nice owners, clean/modern rooms and if you want to eat dinner there just tell them in the morning. If not there is a fantastic restaurant a block away... More

Due Cigni is the BEST! Simoneta and her sons Matteo and Niccolo are concerned only for your perfect stay! They are so nice and friendly and helpful! The Hotel is SPOTLESS! The entry lobby and the lounge area and the dining room are so clean and shining. The rooms are very nice and clean and fresh. They are nicely furnished... More

Overall, the hotel is nice. The rooms are very decent and clean. The hotel is run by a family and they are all helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a little below italian average. The hotel is not really in Montepulciano- it is 10 minutes drive from the town. I'd recommend staying within the town if possible. However, if you want... More
