It was my parents and sis/brother in law's 1st trip to Europe, so everything had to be perfect. Most everything has been said about this jewel on the hill, but here is more. Gio was wonderful, making sure that my parents (in their 70's) had the best room! Breakfast was excellent & was extra-and worth it. Our 2 rooms were... More

We had a wonderful stay in this 6-room hotel in the Hill country of Tuscany. The hotel is at the "top" of the village and you can drive to the plaza and walk the 20 meters to the front door. Reserve parking is a short walk away. Ivana made sure that our breakfast each morning was just to our liking.... More

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of Oct. I was really tired after the drive from Rome and couldnt find the hotel and had no number for it, just a print out of the email reply (my own fault for not writing it down). Anyhow my wife went walk about and found it. The owner drove down... More

My husband and I picked this hotel based on the TripAdvisor reviews. When we arrived, we were impressed with the hotel lobby and the castle-like courtyard. We had rented a car to get to this hotel and Gio gave us a map and directions to the hotel parking area. His instructions were rushed and the map only labeled five streets.... More

We stayed at the Meuble il Riccio for four nights during our honeymoon in Tuscany. We knew not to expect the usual American hotel amenities, but we were still a little disappointed. It was unusually cold in Montepulciano while we were there, but our room had NO heat – we were told they wouldn’t turn it on until November. So... More

We spent 3 nights at Meuble il Riccio on our way through Tuscany last October. Woke up on a Sunday morning to a flat tire. (No one works on cars in Italy on a Sunday!) Gio took my husband first thing Monday morning to his favorite mechanic and had him replace our tire. He brought my husband back to the... More

We stayed here after reading positive reviews and finding it in several guidebooks, but we have a different perspective than other reviewers. We thought the price was high compared to other values we found in Tuscany and the furnishings in our room showed lots of wear. We thought for the price that breakfast should have been included but it was... More

We stayed here with our twenty-something daughters who fell in love with the place as soon as we stepped through the front door. If you're looking for all the mod cons of a resort hotel - forget it. This hotel isn't for you but if you want to be in the heart of Montepulciano, in a little slice of Italian... More

The Meuble` il Riccio is an absolute gem! My husband & I stayed in a variety of places throughout Italy during the month of September and agree that our experience here is at the top of the list. This amazingly maintained historic property brings together the comfortable feelings of home and the majesty of old world Montepulciano. The property is... More

We just returned from a 2-week vacation in Italy, and Meuble il Riccio in Montepulciano was our favorite hotel during our stay. We stayed there for 3 nights, and this wonderful hotel and staff made us feel right at home. The building itself is very charming and has a very nice lobby/sitting area and breakfast area. The rooms are comfortable,... More
