This hotel was absolutely wonderful! Their collection of crafty hedgehogs in the main rooms were lovely and gave the hotel a great, comfortable feel - a home away from home. We only stayed one night - but the staff was wonderful, the room comfortable - and very convenient to everything we wanted to see, do, and eat in Montepulciano!

We were happy to have found this hotel- thanks to Trip Advisor! It was so close to one of the main reasons we visited Montepulciano - CONTUCCI! In advance of our arrival - it was easy correspondence with the hotel through email. However the driving directions could have been a bit better. (My husband was VERY nervous about entering the... This hotel was built in the 1200's and the family has owned the building for 7 generations. The court yard when you enter looks like a movie set. This was a charming hotel in a charming town. Beds were a little hard on my brother in-law's back (he is 6'4"). The breakfast was ok. They just eat a little differently... More

We intended to stay at the Meuble il Riccio End of September for a night during an Umbria-trip, but due to an error on my end I booked for the wrong day. When I showed up 4 days prior to the booked day the owner told me they are booked out for the next 10 days so he couldn´t change... More

Unfortunately we work mainly by advance bookings and for this reason when a cancellation is done outside the terms of our insurance policy, it makes it difficult for the bedroom to be used by other clients. Regarding the charge that has been made prior to the arrival date, it is normal for us to do this due to previous bad... More

We stayed here one night on our way from Rome to Volterra and loved every minute! The town is beautiful and the hotel is stunning. Our room had the best view in the world and we almost didn't want to leave the room, but ventured out to dinner and had a lovely time with a Pavoratti wannabe singer and delicious... More

Can't beat the price for the location, service and views! No frills. Awesome terrance with views. Nice breakfast spread. Bathroom very small but that's normal for Europe!

We stayed at Il Meuble for four days during our European vacation and felt like we were part of the family. The hotel itself is in a medieval building housed within the original walls of Montepulciano. We honestly felt like we stayed in a castle. The rooftop terrace was one of the most surprisingly beautiful views in Tuscany...we almost didn't... More

A lovely hotel in a fabulous town. The rooms are good, the location is very quite, the main areas are beautifully furnished. Very elegant surrounds and just off the main piazza.

Recently friends and I enjoyed a seven day stay at the Il Riccio. Gio` and Ivanna are the most gracious hosts. Each morning we were warmly greeted by them. They were always so helpful with directions, arranging a tour or making suggestions of places to visit. The Continental breakfast was good, especially the tortes that Ivanna makes every evening. We... More

I stayed at this hotel with a friend and we had a wonderful time. Ivana and Gio are wonderful people who could not be more helpful or friendly. The hotel was spotless and the roof terrace was like sitting on top of the world. I can't wait to go back to this wonderful hotel where we were treated like old... More
