Had a little trouble finding the place and driving in to drop our luggage off was interesting through the main narrow road of shops. Great location, couldn't ask for better. We stayed at the Il Riccio for one night in July and enjoyed our stay there immensely! Finding the hotel was a bit stressful. We arrived with another couple and were trying to maneuver our way through Montepulciano by car. LOCATION: In the centre of Montepulciano, just off the main Piazza. Nicely converted building with lovely lounge / breakfast room. As with most town centre hotels, they didn’t have a pool, but they do have a small rooftop terrace where we enjoyed a glass of wine and the views!
