We spent one night here in October 2013. The entire space is beautiful, almost museum-like. The room we occupied had a frescoed ceiling and was decorated with period Italian antiques. The beds were done in Italian linens and coverlets and were very comfortable. It's everything one would hope for in a B&B in the beautiful Toscana region of Italy. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2013 as part of Girosole. Cinzia was welcoming , the room with so much character, the views exquisite. the breakfast was served in a century old establishment on the main street. for the location and the price one cannot do much better.

Cinzia welcomed us warmly and offered us a choice of two huge rooms in a lovely old building with what must be 15 foot frescoed ceilings, on the main street of Montepulciano. The room itself was furnished with antiques and decorated likewise while the large bathroom had completely modern fittings. A good typical Italian breakfast was provided in the little... More

A friend and I spent a week in Umbria. We had several days left of vacation, and after reading the review in Karen Brown's book, we decided to call and book two rooms. Luck was with us! Cinzia met us, helped us turn the car into the narrow street to the car park, then showed us the magnificent 16th century... More

We'd never have recognized this place as a hotel and would probably have walked right by it if we hadn't been given directions. Its a small B&B in an old building that must have really been something sumptuous in its day. We entered through a very old and heavy wooden door, climbed a flight of stairs, and into a huge... More

This is a gem: a small B&B in a gorgeous old building with high, frescoed ceilings and tasteful antiques. Very spacious, very quiet. Modern, private bathroom. Friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast is included; you just walk over to the cafe across the street and order whatever you like. We arrived on bicycles and were able to store them in a... More

L'Agnolo is a place I return to every time I go back to Montepulciano, which is often. Cinzia is a charming host and her small B&B (5 rooms) are full with character- high frescoed ceilings, wood beams, and right in the heart of town along the main street. They even provide a parking spot around the corner for those who... More

I agree totally with Lucy Pie. We had the same experience. Our room was huge and had the most amazing fresco ceiling. The owner spoken good english and was very welcoming and helpful. She didn't live on the property and we had the place pretty much to ourselves for mose of our stay. I would recommend this establishment.

We arrived in Montepulciano without a room reservation. Went to the tourist information office and received help from a wonderful young woman who could speak several languages and even at nearly 5pm had the best disposition and genuine smile! She suggested the L'Agnolo and it was wonderful. Fabulous room with a domed frescoed ceiling, private bath, on the main street... More
