We stayed here for one night in a beautiful room ,with the most amazing ceiling. It a very old building in the centre of town. We arrived early and our hostess showed us around the other rooms equally lovely. The room was furnished in keeping with the style of the house. Bathroom was good and bed was comfortable. The view... We arrived by bicycle and were booked in here by the local tourist office. The owner kindly came to meet us at the entrance to the old town. The room was excellent, spacious, clean and with a fabulous view across the countryside. Very quiet at the rear of the property. This would undoubtedly warrant a 5star review were it not... More

Spent only 1 night. Great location. Awesome room. We really liked the room. It was spacious. The bed was comfortable. Our hostess was great. The bathroom was roomy & the shower nice. Everything was super clean. Good value too. The breakfast was across the street at a very modern bar. Coffee juice croissant. But ok.

This is a nice B&B right in the heart of the old town so it is very conveniently located. The building is about 500 years old. The ceiling of my room was a painting several hundreds of years old! It was a very quiet stay and the rooms were very clean and quiet. The only downside is the breakfast. You... More

We spent one night here in October 2013. The entire space is beautiful, almost museum-like. The room we occupied had a frescoed ceiling and was decorated with period Italian antiques. The beds were done in Italian linens and coverlets and were very comfortable. It's everything one would hope for in a B&B in the beautiful Toscana region of Italy. The... More

Cinzia welcomed us warmly and offered us a choice of two huge rooms in a lovely old building with what must be 15 foot frescoed ceilings, on the main street of Montepulciano. The room itself was furnished with antiques and decorated likewise while the large bathroom had completely modern fittings. A good typical Italian breakfast was provided in the little... More

A friend and I spent a week in Umbria. We had several days left of vacation, and after reading the review in Karen Brown's book, we decided to call and book two rooms. Luck was with us! Cinzia met us, helped us turn the car into the narrow street to the car park, then showed us the magnificent 16th century... More

We'd never have recognized this place as a hotel and would probably have walked right by it if we hadn't been given directions. Its a small B&B in an old building that must have really been something sumptuous in its day. We entered through a very old and heavy wooden door, climbed a flight of stairs, and into a huge... This is a gem: a small B&B in a gorgeous old building with high, frescoed ceilings and tasteful antiques. Very spacious, very quiet. Modern, private bathroom. Friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast is included; you just walk over to the cafe across the street and order whatever you like. We arrived on bicycles and were able to store them in a... More
