We stayed two nights here as part of a Tuscany cycle tour. We found the hotel in a very central, handy location to the main attractions of the old town and the staff were always friendly and professional. The breakfasts were really yummy and the chef makes a mean scrambled eggs over and above the usual Italian salami/ cheese affair.... More

We loved our stay at Il Marzocco. The hotel is very well located- right inside the city walls. It is easy to walk to all the restaurants and shops inside the city walls. It is decorated with antique furniture from the early 20th century. I believe it was a convent previously. The same family has owned it for many years... More

Very good location to start exploring Montepulciano, it is at the center of the little city. It is the oldest hotel in Montepulciano with admirable and interesting interior. The rooms did not have air condition, only had a fan, but surprisingly it was sufficient (although it was August), maybe because our room did not have morning sun.The hotel is supposed... More

Following a disappointing experience at another establishment in Montepulciano, we were warmly welcomed to the Albergo Il Marzocco. Upon arrival we were offered three rooms to choose from - each had different furnishings, layouts and views, but all were spacious and clean. The hotel itself is unique in layout, maintaining the character and feel of its former life, and we... More

The location of this hotel is great, just inside the city walls which was ideal for us as we didn't have much time to explore Montepulciano. The hotel is full of character with huge rooms and antique furniture. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately we had a room over the front of the hotel and it was really noisy from... More

Very good location just inside city walls. The hotel is very traditionally furnished and family owned. The rooms are large, basic but comfortable. Unfortunately the walls seem to be paper thin. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. I don't know how many places there are to stay within the walls, but it's worth trying

This Hotel is family owned and just how I imagined a Hotel in Montepulciano should be. The furnishings are as original and in perfect condition. The bed was charming and we loved it. Clean, tidy and we had a fabulous terrace that overlooked the countryside. Breakfast was lovely with a wide range of food available and the only place where... More

Would recommend this nice, family owned place. People were extremely nice and the setting of the hotel is such that it is easy to get to. It was our base while visitong Tuscany and we had a room with a nice view over the country side.

I highly recommend this hotel! I loved the location just inside the walls of the city. Our room had a fabulous view over Tuscany and was very spacious. The furnishings were eclectic and just how you imagine an Italian Albergo to be. A highlight is the breakfast! So much choice including a number if regional cheeses, meats and homemade breads... Great experience, If you want to have a real tuscany experience, no doubt. go to Il Marzocco. Familiar environment, clasicc fornitures, have a very good breakfast, seen a tipical streets of the center of Montepulciano. Clean and big rooms,in our case with terrace, that allows us the Tuscany fields... very good service, parking at the door...very comfortable.
