I highly recommend this hotel! I loved the location just inside the walls of the city. Our room had a fabulous view over Tuscany and was very spacious. The furnishings were eclectic and just how you imagine an Italian Albergo to be. A highlight is the breakfast! So much choice including a number if regional cheeses, meats and homemade breads... Great experience, If you want to have a real tuscany experience, no doubt. go to Il Marzocco. Familiar environment, clasicc fornitures, have a very good breakfast, seen a tipical streets of the center of Montepulciano. Clean and big rooms,in our case with terrace, that allows us the Tuscany fields... very good service, parking at the door...very comfortable.

We stayed here for a few nights in the winter and enjoyed our visit. I think we were actually the only people in the hotel and it was very quiet in town. The hotel is located right inside the old town gate at the bottom of the (steep) hill and directly across from La Bottega del (Vino) Nobile, a TERRIFIC... More

We very much enjoyed our 5 nights here. The manager and staff are attentive, friendly and certainly speak enough English to cater to their guests. Reserved parking spots are inside the city walls right outside the door to the hotel. They helped haul our large suitcases up two flights of stairs. Breakfast was very good and included eggs made to... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly with helping us to get a parking spot on a really busy day in Montepulciano - much appreciated! The hotel itself is traditionally decorated, and there are a few unexpected things like a billiard table in one of the reception rooms! We had an absolutely lovely view from the balcony across to Lake Trasimeno.... More

We spent two nights in this hotel, the first in room facing the square. Room was ugly and bed was really uncomfortable. Really noisy. Breakfast was substandard compared to our other hotels. Would have moved hotels but fortunately young lady at desk agreed to move us to a room which looked out over the hillside. Looked like a different hotel...... More

This hotel is styled like and old house. The bedroom was pretty basic - kind of what you would expect if you were staying in an 1800s home. Sweet staff, spoke little English but we were able to communicate fine. Great breakfast with good cheese, meat, fresh squeezed OJ, granola, croissants. Parking right out front, gave us pass to drive... More

Each year we visit Montepulciano staying in this old fashioned hotel and we like its every corner full of antiques. All distinguished ladies - owners of the hotel - are so polite and courteous that it is a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Breakfast is on the top copmparing to other hotels... Parking available... We stayed in a spacious clean room, with a great view over the rolling hills of Tuscany. The place has a genuine vintage feel, with some marvellous old wooden posters (To the Gin factory! etc) up in the hall ways. The owners are incredibly helpful and lovely, and cook up and serve the most amazing breakfast spread. Given the very... More
