I can't work out what this hotel is all about. It is in a lovely setting and the facilities are fantastic but there is no atmosphere and the staff are not very welcoming . We were originally allocated a room in the annex which is at least 400m from the main hotel . Upon arrival , no one showed us... More

We stayed in the annex which is located down a steep hill from the main resort. The pool and view were outstanding but the walk up to breakfast each morning was significant. Our room was a good size but the shower was tiny and very difficult to shower in. The spa was very nice but the hours of operation are... More

Hotel rooms in Montepulciano, particularly in the delightful historic centre, are not that frequent, and certainly will not have extensive facilities. This smart chic hotel, just beyond the bus station, not only offers a spa, an indoor and an outdoor pool, a bar, a restaurant and a shop, but also an excellent view of the old town. We found the... If you have kids, this is the worst hotel you can stay in. They do not allowed you to use the spa unless between 1pm-3pm when usually the kids are having a nap or digest. I have also been told off as my youngest daughter was winging in the reception area and apparently was disturbing the other guests (no one... More

We were very disappointed in this hotel. We had booked this as a treat for the end of our holiday and it isn't how it bills itself. We were put in the annexe which isn't part of the main hotel. This wasn't mentioned to us and there was no option to change. It's down a newly constructed road and to... More

We stayed in the "annex" of this hotel and I have no complaints about the accomodation. Despite being in the annex, our accomodation was wonderful. Ample parking which was a bonus. Yes, its about 10 mins walk from the main hotel building but this didn't bother us - its about a 20 min walk into the main town centre anyway.... More

We stayed at this hotel expecting to have a true spa experience. We were first told to drive to the other property, which is located about 500 meters away from the main property. The property we stayed at did have a pool, which was not maintained at all- lots of mosquitos, bird poop, and spiderwebs. Overall, the grounds were poorly... More

Our Italian friends chose to celebrate their wedding at this hotel during a weekend of June. It's an amazing place to have an event and while the whole wedding reception, dinner and ceremony was beautiful and great, with a wonderful staff, I cannot say the same of the hotel room and the hotel organization. We stayed two nights at a... More

We arrived about 4pm on a very hot day. We'd been driving for about 3 hours through the lovely Tuscan countryside. The welcome was warm and we were offered coffee and given the option of sitting by the swimming pool. We thought we'd arrived in heaven. What a peaceful spot. Good quality sun beds, a beautiful pool, a view of... More

My wife and I stayed at the Etruria in early September and it is a beautiful property. The views from the grounds of the hotel are breathtaking. The staff was quite helpful, the food in the restaurant was delicious. I only had two complaints and they are very personal and may not be a big deal for anyone else but... More
