The room and ensuite were large and comfortable, although the furniture and decoration made it seem rather gloomy. A ten-minute walk from the hill-top town in an attractive setting. Rooms are in a villa with a large garden with chairs and tables for guests; good parking. Amerigo, Vanna and Nicolo (who had excellent English) were extremely friendly and helpful (when... More

We stayed for one night at this lovely place and it was completely perfect. The owner is very friendly, the rooms are clean, the apartment is well located to the castle. If you are looking for a small and friendly place to stay this is a perfect choice....

Our group of five Los Angles wine lover couples booked four nights at this great little place in Montepulciano. We arrived on a Monday and settled into our five rooms at the very nicely appointed property. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We shared a living room and balcony that connected three separate rooms, which we shared... More

We spent two nights here. The young man who runs the place could not have been nicer or more helpful. The Albergo is very nicely presented and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food for a continental breakfast. As two seventy year olds we found the " ten minute walk " to the town a bit... More

We just spent a one night's stay at Albergo Il Rondo while travelling through Tuscany & Umbria. My first impression of the place when entering was how pristine clean it was. The second thing that jumped out was how pretty it was. Upon arrival, after being offered a beverage by the owner, we enjoyed a beer and proseco in the... More

This was the second leg of our Italian getaway and we were not disappointed. We stayed here with our 2 adult children and were given two rooms ajoined in the middle by a nice living room. Mornings began with a wonderful breakfast buffet and evenings ended with a Prosecco in the beautiful backyard garden. The owner was very helpful with... More

We were so lucky to have chosen to spend two nights at Albergo il Rondo on our honeymoon. In retrospect, the only regret we had is that we didn't spend our entire honeymoon there. As soon as we drove up to the hotel, we were in awe. The grounds are simply gorgeous. Very lovingly maintained gardens in the most charming... More

We enjoyed our stay with this kind and helpful family. We loved sitting in the garden with a glass of something and also enjoyed the breakfasts. After reading the reviews, yes, it is a bit of an uphill hike to town but the hotel does not disguise the fact as inferred in many reviews. There is a shuttle bus from... More

We stumbled across the website for this boutique, seven room hotel in Montepulciano, Italy a few years ago. Since then, we have visited several times, referred countless people to visit and already planned three visits June/July 2015. The rooms are hospital clean, the location convenient and the breakfast out of this world. But the best part by far is the... More

We spent three nights here in September, using Montepulciano as our base for a driving tour through Tuscany. Received a friendly welcome from Amerigo the owner, who offered us a glass of prosecco in the hotel’s lovely little garden. He also gave us lots of dining and sightseeing recommendations, which we appreciated. I don’t want to be too critical of... More
