Villa Mazzi is a working farm located between Montepulciano and Pienza and is just exactly the perfect location for a home base to explore the region. Loredana is a hostess beyond reproach, kind and friendly and so helpful. My sister and I had Il Tiglio, a lovely little apartment with a private patio. It's well appointed with a nice kitchenette... I stayed at Villa Mazzi for four nights In September with my sister, and am already looking forward to a future trip there with my husband. It was the perfect location from which to explore Southern Tuscany. First, the accomodations were wonderful and great value. We paid less per night here than anywhere else on our 17 day trip to... We stayed in the standalone unit, Il Pino, for 4 nights in April, and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The view across the valley to Montepulciano was exceptional. One day it rained a bit and we were lucky enough to see a full double rainbow framing Montepulciano. The spacious apartment was impeccably clean, and tastefully appointed. Loredana, the... More

Excellent Location. Extraordinary View. Large & comfortable room. Warm hospitality. Loredana was very cooperative by assisting us to find good restaurants in the area. Highly recommended. Gershon & Betty ISRAEL

We stayed in the very spacious, quiet and efficient one bedroom apt (Il Cedro) for a week in November 2013 and hated to leave. The owner was so helpful and gracious. Every question, and we had a lot, was answered and every need was addressed. Loradona was always quietly available to provide recommendations and helpful hints. The bed was comfortable,... More

Villa Mazzi just gets better every time! This time I went with a friend, and there was an added bonus of meeting with a couple who I met last year also staying at Villa Mazzi. The villa and grounds are conducive to meeting other guests or being private and quiet. The apartments are beautiful, and the setting and views exquisite,... More

At the risk of sounding repetitive with other reviews, Villa Mazzi really is the perfect choice for experiencing the beauty of Tuscany, its landscape and hill towns. This was our first visit but we plan to return like others we met at the property. First, the views of Montelpuciano could not be finer; we have dozens of photos of the... More

If you want to get a true taste of Tuscany and take in the natural beauty of the Val d'Orcia, Villa Mazzi is the perfect choice. It's centrally located to all the nearby historic hill towns, with spectacular, drop-dead views of Montepulciano. I have stayed here twice: once with my daughter for site seeing, and just recently with my brother... More

This was our second trip to Italy and I can safely say Villa Mazzi was our favorite place to stay. Perfectly located to explore many nearby hill towns AND its in Montepulciano's backyard...literally! I never grew tired of staring at the scenery that surrounded us! This place makes you slow down and take in all that makes Italy the "dolce... More
