We stopped here for several days whilst on a National Holidays trip. On the plus side the hotel is well located near to the town centre and the staff were very obliging (but didn't speak English). The accommodation is best described as old, basic and just about adequate (but it was clean). Our room was small and very dated with... More

I spent 4 nights with my mates in Montecatini Terme in late September. A small but very very pretty; shops open most evenings, the bars, at least two with great music played live. I slept at the 'Hotel Metropole, a hotel convenient to the center, delicious, well maintained in excellent Italian style. In living rooms, great comfortable sofas and many... More

Booked this with National Holidays 'Rome & A taste of Italy' and can honestly say yes there were parts of it that were tired looking, but also parts that were ideal and it did serve the purpose for our 7 day break. The rooms were basic but had everything (apart from tea making facilities) that we needed just to touch... More

I give this Hotel a score of one because this is the lowest score available on the register. We spent the best part of a week here thanks to National Holidays coach tours, and had it not been for a wonderful collection of people on our tour, this would have been the biggest nightmare in my travel history. To add... More

Stayed here in June 2013 with a tour group for one night. The air conditioning was poor, the bathroom moldy and the towels inadequate. The staff was quite friendly but this did not make up for the room condition. Many better choices in this lovely engaging town, which seemed quite safe and had many cafes and bars open with lively... I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was horrible. The room was dirty, the food was poor. At breakfast we didn't get bread and water because they ran out of it every morning and juices were too sweet to drink. I will never stay at this hotel again!

I recently spent two nights at this hotel as part of a large student tour group. The hotel is located on the edge of a park which holds the spa. The exterior and lobby promise pleasant rooms but unfortunately the rooms do not deliver. The rooms are cramped, the decor a leftover from the seventies, and there was an undeniable... More

This hotel and its staff have loads of character. The only thing I didn't care for at this hotel was the food. Located about mid-way between Pisa and Florence, it is a good hour by train or bus to either city. The hotel itself was quite comfortable and clean. Beautiful view from our window and a large stone balcony off... More

The small town of Montecatini Terme is quite pleasant if unremarkable, and has some nice restaurants and cafés, and unlike other places in Italy, a smattering of Italian is required in order not to starve. Cheap Chianti flows readily in the evenings, and a trip to Montecatini Alto via the funicular railway will be rewarded with some wonderful views and... More

Stayed at this hotel as part of jules verne taste of tuscany. The hotel is ok located about 7 mins walk from train station. The rooms are old and quite dated but ok. The bathroom is small with very small shower but proved to be ok . There was a pleasant garden with above ground pool(didnt use) and a bar... More
