Excellent hotel in lovely location, about a 10 minute walk downhill through the park into town. Very clean large room with good views over swimming pool and up to Montecatini Alto, which is a lovely place to visit on the funicular. Found hotel staff very helpful and friendly, especially Massimo on reception. Breakfast is in the Villa Magnolia next door... more

We spent a week in Montecatini in May 2008. We did not have the biggest hotel room in Italy, but the room was pristinely clean, the decor fresh and good quality bedding. Bathroom the same. We stayed in Hotel Michelangelo for 2 weeks as a homebase for our visit to Tuscany. We found the room to be good-sized and the bathroom quite large. The beds were two twin beds, but they put a king size sheet on, so we really didn't feel the gap. The service was excellent. We had read reviews that noone there... more
