I stayed in this hotel last week with my wife, and we found both the hotel and the staff to be very good. Our room (on the fourth floor) was of a good size, clean, and with a satisfactory en suite. The only drawback appeared to be that some of the lights were not working. Beds were comfortable, and the... More

Just back from staying here on a Newmarket tour. Yes the place is dated but the room we had was huge on 5th floor with a massive balcony, sitting area and big bathroom, it was very clean, the furniture is old style but has been good quality in it's day. The only down side for us about the room was... More

We stayed two weeks ago in Hotel Michelangelo in Montecatini Terme for 9 days. The staff was wonderful and treated us like royalty, taking care of laundry service and getting concert tickets for us. The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend this family owned hotel in this quiet, beautiful town.

The hotel was clean & tidy but the dinner in the evening was a different story, we sat for over two hours while we were served. On three occasions the main course was inedible,ie. fish overcooked, pork undercooked ( an old boar) chicken pieces that turned out to be chicken crockets tasted like cardboard. This hotel does not deserve to... More

I read several negative reviews in the week before I arrived at this Hotel and was dreading it. I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it is not your typical 4 star, BUT it has a spa which entitles it to be a 4 Star. It was spotlessly clean, some people mentioned the owners dogs in previous reviews, all I saw were... More

We had a verg cosy room with balcony in the opposite building, called Villa Magnolia. Free parking and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is on walking distantce of the very nice towncentre of Montecatini Terme. You can walk up to Montecatini Alto by using a besutiful tracking path near by the hotel.

We were very alarmed to read the bad reviews from Newmarket customers about this Hotel. My husband phoned them just one week before our departure, and expressed our concern. They were very honest and agreed that they had been having dreadful problems. We were assured that they had invested more money into the Hotel, some staff had been sacked and... More

Anyone staying with Newmarket at Michelangelo would be advised not to. The hotel is rubbish, very tired and completely inadequate, never 4 star more like 2. We ordered a quiet room, they claimed not to have received these instructions the first room was so small you couldn't swing a cat in it, the second marginally larger but there was so... More
