Hotel is centrally located in cool little Italian town with lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping in the immediate area. 10 minute walk to train station with trains going to Florence and Pisa every hour (every 30 minutes during rush hour). We were expecting the worst from La Pia -- it was the least expensive hotel of our trip, and the price included breakfast. It's nothing fancy, but they try hard to make you feel as if it is. lovely big room with balcony, very clean, breakfast good, but the best thing about the hotel was the lady who runs it. she was very friendly and helpful, providing information about the area . the beautiful surroundings and the stay in the hotel made it a fantastic holiday more

The rooms are a bit on the small side...but the food makes up for it!! Montecatini Terme is a nice little town and the hotel is within walking distance to shopping. more
