My husband and I stayed for a week with a small (10) tour group. The hotel was very nice, although we didn't actually get to stay in it. (Certainly NOT a five-star, however. ) At arrival, they ushered us through the lobby, and down a dilapidated hallway that led into a completely separate building. They seem to have a policy... more

We stayed here for 2 nights with Trafalgher Tours. The pool was fantastic, the service at the pool great and the food tasty. The public areas were no doubt maintained beautifully for "a look" however our room was a nightmare. Smelly, dark and the bed had BED BUGS! Night one we battled with mosquitos (the window was left open by... more

We were on Trafalgar Tour. Room on second floor with balcony. Hotel has charm but NO security. Warm spell in October and no air conditioning. Left balcony door open for air and two hooded burglers entered at 2:30 a.m. with the two of us asleep in room and stole purse, money, camcorder and travel bag. Wife awoke to find them... more

We stayed at this hotel in October as part of an organized tour group. The stopover in Montecatini was the base for 2 nights Florence day trips. The Grand Bellavista is located in a lovely, leafy part of this pretty little Tuscan town and has very pleasing decor and nice gardens. The staff were good, one girl in particular behind... more

We stayed in this hotel in the early month of June 2006. Upon arrival we were greeted with warm home made pizza's and fresh juices. It was really a great start to these two splendid days ahead in Montecatini. The hotel outlay was fantastic. It had a really wonderful garden with dec chairs, lovely little table and charis outside as... more

Where do we begin?? We stayed for 2 nights with a tour group and cannot believe this is considered to be a 5 star hotel! The room was very small with an EXTREMELY HIGH CIELING, but it was very clean. The shower felt like you were trapped in a small phone booth and the water pressure was painful. The lighting...what... more

We stayed here the first week of april when the hotel just reopened. The indoor poolnor the outside wasn't ready which was a big disappointment. Montecatini is an excellent place to stay and make daytrips into Tuscany. Service in the hotel is helpfull and understands english. Breakfast is ok but dinner is excellent with many choices for every course. We... more

We have just returned from a week on a B&B basis at the hotel. We booked directly with the hotel after searching the web for deals. We saved 1/3 on the brochure price and it was still cheaper than the cheapest web price. We were offered two rooms both of which were spacious. The second was a suite with two... more

Stayed with a group in 2000. From the pictures and info we found on the internet prior to our visit, we thought the Grand Hotel Bellavista would be perfect -- elegant and convenient to our travels in Tuscany. Unfortunately, the actual hotel does not live up to its advertising. Some people in our group had decent rooms -- but that... more
