While the rooms were fairly large, there was a lot that could be better about this hotel. The Wifi was fast, but only available in the lobby. The food wasn't great either. For breakfast there was tons of carbs in the forms of little pastries and croissants, but no proteins. There was sliced deli meat, and scrambled eggs with bacon... More

Montecatini Terme is full of history as a spa town. In modern times it has become the place to stay for thousands of tourists doing the "Tuscany Tour" holiday. It has hundreds of hotels, mostly three star and below. The Esplanade is rated 4 star, but it is not 4 star as most of us understand it! The location is... More

Only spent one night here as a part of a Cosmos trip around Tuscany! It is a nice hotel - good facilities and my room was large, clean with a good view of the Tuscan Hills Breakfast had a good range of things to choose from Much better than the Hotel Blondi which is close by in Montecatini!

We spent the night here on a 13 day COSMOS tour, the day before our visit to Pisa. This night happened to coincide with my birthday, which was great as it was a beautiful hotel in a pretty town. The hotel is close walking distance to a market, lots of shops and nightlife. The restaurant is pretty basic but the... More

The hotel is just a fassade. The management seems to have invested lots of money to equip a stunning reception and hall. when you enter the main gate, you are the impression to enter Casino Royale of James Bond, Then when you find the elevator, you see how narrow the life can be. This antique and ancient elevator is a... More

I was very happy to see the Tuscan region of Italy and to stay at this lovely hotel! Interesting fact it there is the old part and the new part. I stayed in the old part going back to the 1800's!! I had a very nice room which looked as if I had traveled back in time!!! The internet here... More

We had an enormous balcony (and a satellite dish!)..and a very noisy door (the bathroom windows had no putty in them!) However..this place has charm..great location..you can walk through the markets or into town..breakfast was good...small room..but this is Italy! The pool was freezing (but my husband went in it!)..and when I asked for shampoo it was delivered within 15... More

We stayed here only overnight but I found it very nice & charming. It's a bit old but the room was spacious, comfy & most of all clean. It was also a good time for us because there was a bazaar or like a flea market just across the hotel selling everything from clothes, bags, shoes, souvenir items, etc at... More

This hotel is on the "old" side and not just because it's in the old world, it needs an updating. The rooms are ample in size and the bathroom are small but clean. The Esplanade's location is fine being located next to a nice park and the lift to old town Montecatini, a must seen beauty.
