Our room was fine, although the walls were paper thin. Lots of people complain about the decor and the traditional lady who owns it, but to me, it felt very Italian, and that aspect quite charming. Cramped room, uncomfortable bed,no fridge, difficult shower but with staff that tried hard to please.Montecatini is a beautiful town in a lovely part of Italy and it was sad to find the accommodation was not as good as its location. With some money spent on improvements this hotel could be a gem.

Stayed here, luckily just for one night. It was like stepping through a time warp to the 60s/70s, everything was so old and the decor so dated and musty. My small single room was tiny and the bed very uncomfortable. Only one pillow was provided with no spare to be found so I had to fold it in half and... More

The manageress spoke excellent english and was only too willing to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. All the rooms were clean... More

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week. The room was sparsely furnished, small but clean and a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. But we did have a tiny balcony overlooking the square. The breakfast consisted of 1 croissant per person, small plate of ham and cheese slices, watery juice and lukewarm coffee from a machine. The evening meal... More

This has been owned for since the 70's by the same lady apparently and it's decor remains there. That wouldnt be so bad if it had been clean but it was grubby and shoddy too. I stayed there for one night with a coach party and everyone had a story to tell from, shower not working to dodgy lights. The only place... More
