We requested a double room for three nights, and got a fair price of 70 € a night. When booking, I got answers via e-mail very quickly but when I requested a potty to be available for our three-year old son (about 5 days prior to check-in) I got no answer to my question, despite several e-mails. When we arrived and asked about it, were met with a shrug and the explanation "we are only a three-star hotel", "It's not hygienic" etc. The same request was no problem for another three-star hotel (Piemontese in Bergamo) which we stayed in for only one night later on same trip. A potty may seem like a simple thing, but very important for our child, for whom Nuova Mestre was an unpleasant experience, he was relieved to get to the next hotel.

Experience with staff was mixed - one who spoke english quite well, the rest only italian, and unwilling to try to communicate, instead appearing snotty. Cleaning staff was a lot nicer and more helpful than the rest (also... more
