We travelled in north Italy and stayed at 3*** hotels in various cities. Hotel Paris was the cleanest, nicest, best equipped, had the best breakfast - everything! Excellent location, close to train-station and bus-station to Venice. It did't remind Paris though. Rather Scandinavia with it's IKEA-style and standart. I loved it!!! more

Mestre is a good place to stay if you want to see Venice without Venice prices. The Hotel Paris is about 2-3 minutes walk fron Mestre train station. The fare to Venice is 1 euro and trains depart almost constantly as Venice is the end of the line for trains from all over europe and well as more local services.... more
